Biografia

  • Diamante Blackmon, better known by his stage name DJ Carnage, or sometimes simply Carnage, is an American Trap and House DJ and producer from Los Angeles.

Carnage fell in love with electronic dance music during his high school days, during which time he was a fan of the likes of Dutch maestros Headhunterz, and Alpha Twins. A trip to the Electric Daisy festival, an event that showcases a variety of electronic music, from dubstep to electro, confirmed his desire to start creating trap and house beats.

After learning his craft in his bedroom, Carnage had his first big break in 2012, when his trap remix of the club classic, “Spaceman” by Hardwell, became one of the most played tracks at festivals that summer. He then went on to prove he wasn’t going to be a one hit wonder when one of his beats was used on the collaborative party anthem “Big Spender”, which was recorded by rappers and fashionistas, A$AP Rocky and Theophilous London. He then decided to produce for more underground rappers G-Eazy, and Fool’s Gold artist Katie Got Bandz.

In 2013, Carnage embarked on a massive tour of the US, entitled the “6 Rings Tour”, in homage to the basketballer Michael Jordan. He has also played at various electronic music festivals internationally. Recently, Carnage collaborated with brash dubstep producer Borgore for the track “Incredible”

Outside of his production, he currently has a radio show on Sirius XFM and is a strong advocate of Mexican fast food, with his vocal support for chain Chipotle, leading to him gaining free burritos for life. In late 2013, Carnage was featured on the cover of “DJ Times”. Carnage has stated that if he hadn’t found music, he would have tried to begin a career as a Tornado Chaser.

  • Carnage

Carnage, real name Diamante Blackmon, is an American House and Trap DJ, specialising in electronica and dubstep. Carnage, sometimes known as DJ Carnage, had gone a long way since his days experimenting with music in his bedroom. He now produces for the big dogs, including artists such as A$AP Rocky. Carnage’s shows are exactly like what they sound: absolute Carnage. He DJ’s some of the biggest festivals in America and his sets are always massive. He plays in front of thousands, who all scream his name whilst jumping and down hysterically and wave their arms in the air. His shows are always a massive party and he engages the crowd brilliantly, getting everybody to jump and scream along. The set for his show was absolutely incredible: he was inside a giant replica of a volcano which was smoking from the top. Despite the awe inspiring sets and huge crowd, Carnage looks cool as a cucumber. He dances along with the crowd, getting everyone pumped, and turns those tables like an absolute pro, mixing hip hop and dubstep with rap and electronica to create some powerful, fun and catchy beats.

  • Diamante Blackmon, better known by his stage name Carnage is an American trap and experimental dance DJ and producer making a name for himself on the circuit through relentless touring and numerous appearances at huge dance events. It seems to be paying off as his fanbase grows and the word of mouth recommendation to Carnage's performance is almost unanimously positive.

The best way to describe him is an expert in his field, he has established his sound and he is the very best person at creating those beats and drops. Although a remix of 'Spaceman' by Hardwell is still one his most recognisable pieces of work, the crowd remains responsive throughout. It may be a slightly alternative take on traditional dance yet it seems to work well for the musician and the audience enjoy it as he lifts them to the point of total elation before dropping in a pulsing baseline. As he hypes them up from behind the decks, the crowd cheers in approval as Carnage brings his set to a close on one almighty dance floor filler to have the whole room bouncing.

  • DJ Carnage incorporated his own style of trap with Dutch rap and harder Dutch styles of electro. He really interacted with the audience and it showed in the performance. It was a great show although pretty short and early.
