  A beautiful gig by a beautiful artist.

  Ry X has gone from strength to strength the past couple of years, and I genuinely believe he'll end up being one of the biggest names on the alternative circuit.

  This was a relatively intimate show at Shoreditch Town Hall, which Ry excitedly told us had sold out 5 days after tickets went on sale last year. He played a mixture of old and new material, and was accompanied onstage by The Aurora Orchestra, who really added some lovely elements into normally stripped back songs, such as 'Berlin'.

  Ry was warm and welcoming to the audience, engaging a couple of times before playing another song and obviously immersing himself in the sounds. It was amazing to see an artist so enraptured by the sonics being created around him.

  At the end he engaged further by asking the whole audience to stand and dance to 'Howling', and we remained standing until he came back on for his encore, playing 'Only'.

  The couples in the audience (myself included) embraced whomever they were with and watched the beauty unfold.

  An incredible, atmospheric show, by a man that will no doubt be playing bigger and better venues each time he tours. See him whenever the opportunity arises.

• I was just introduced to RY X, loved his music, and just saw him at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver. I truly couldn’t have picked a better show to see as my first concert since the beginning of Covid’s lockdown. The stage itself was gorgeous with the right use of a dry ice, candles and lighting. RY X’s show was a beautiful balance of mellow acoustic guitar and layered electronic rhythms within the same song creating a sound that was brilliantly unique. I’m so happy that we were able to see him at a small venue as it won’t be long before he’s playing larger shows as his music is so easy to fall in love with. Best of all, he is genuinely humble, kind and grateful as he engaged the crowd on a number of occasions. If you’re able to, see this man live! This is a concert that I won’t soon forget and I already want to see him again.

• Absolutely incredible. The venue was so perfect for his music.

  He created such an intimate environment that even whispering to my friend seemed too loud. He was amazing live as he is on his records. I cannot fault him at all. By the time we were done it felt like we had all together been through a journey. At the end of each song I didn't even feel like clapping because I was so engrossed in his music and atmosphere.

  Only very few artists can create such an incredible and awe-inspiring environment and put on the performance that he did. Truly exceptional.

  He intimated that he would be returning to London towards the end of 2016 and I am 100% going to his next concert.

• This concert was absolutely incredible, definitely one of the best I've been to. The venue was an excellent choice, and every aspect of the event was perfectly suited to RY X's beautiful music - from the lighting to the sound balance. I would 100% recommend both The Great Hall as a venue and RY X as a musician to anyone with a love for indie/alternative music. And the opener, Ghostly Whispers, were also fantastic - it was lovely to hear them for the first time! 5 stars.

• Sehr enttäuscht :{ viel zu übertriebene gestellte Gestik von Ry x

  Gitarre klappte schon mal besser:(

  Vor(Frau) ehrliche Momente hat mir sehr gut gefallen.

  Alles in allem 760 km angereist für (meiner Meinung nach) einen leider zu bekannt gewordenen Künstler zu sehen.

  Bekommt noch eine Chance habe Karten für Köln und Luxemburg

  Wenn es in Köln ähnlich ist werde ich die Karten für Luxemburg verkaufen.

• The whining violins of the accompanying symphonic orchestra were not an enhancement to Ry X´s electronic sounds in my ears but a nuisance I was willing to accept to see this artist live again. It was still a good concert but I definitely preferred the band improvising by themselves when they went on playing after they had performed the original tracks of their album.

• A beautiful lovefull show. Beautiful lights, candles adding to the peaceful atmosphere. Ry is a true representer of sharing. His voice and the mix of the instruments of the group (vocal, cords, piano, percussions) is truly amazing. If you want to feel the love, you definitely have to go. New songs and oldies carried us away! Can't wait to see his next give in my area.

• What an incredibly beautiful show! As “Cinematic” is to “Video”, this show was to “Audio”. The speakers were crisp, the opener was thoughtfully chosen. The only negative thing I have to say is the lighting crew seemed inexperienced. There were multiple mistakes & things that had to be fixed during the show.

• Magical from start to finish.

  The collaboration with the London Contemporary Orchestra was genius and created an incredible sound.

  The choice of Hannah Epperson for support and later accompaniment was perfect, Hannah is an instant addition to my play list. Bjork with a violin!!!

• Après une première partie tout en délicatesse par Hannah Epperson.

  Un moment magique au Barbican centre. De belles orchestrations du London Contemporary Orchestra. Et Ry, toujours cette voix et cette gentillesse qui nous ont transportés pendant ce temps suspendu.

  Du partage de musique et d'émotions. Namaste.
