Trey Songz is an American singer-songwriter from Petersburg, Virginia. He has released six R&B studio albums and has also acted in various films and television shows.
As a child growing up within a military family, Trey Songz had zero aspirations to become the musical superstar he is today. A shy boy, it was the encouragement of parents and friends that built his confidence and got him performing in front of live audiences. Songz was discovered at the age of 16 at a talent show by record producer Troy Taylor and was subsequently signed to Atlantic Records.
While recording his first album, “I Gotta Make It”, Trey Songz was concurrently releasing various mix tapes under the name Prince of Virginia. One song, a response to R. Kelly’s “Trapped in the Closet” gained particular attention and earned Songz some notoriety, which bolstered sales of his first album.
While his first two albums received a lot of positive attention from the R&B community, it wasn’t until his third and fourth studio albums – “Ready” and “Passion, Pain & Pleasure”, respectively – that Trey Songz managed to successfully cross over into mainstream appeal. Singles “Say Aah” featuring Fabolous and “Bottoms Up” featuring Nicki Minaj were both top ten singles in the US and are the singer’s most successful singles to date.
A versatile performer, Trey Songz has collaborated with the likes of Ne-Yo, 50 Cent, T.I. and Lil Wayne, amongst many others. Trey Songz has toured alongside Jay Z and Usher where he opened for both artists in 2009 and 2010 respectively. An energetic performer, Trey Songz has also headlined three tours and played many festivals.
In addition to picking up fans from across the US and Europe, Trey Songz has also picked up multiple award nominations over the last ten years, including three Grammy Award nominations.

We had booked section 121 row A seats 17 and 18. Come to find out, the seats were blocked by the high stage. Our help didn't come until a security guy suggested we complain to the box office. At this time, our hearts had sunk and Yvonne almost in tears. All our planing and 3 days of edit and expenses to travel from Arkansas, take 3 days off, miss classes for Yvonne, air flight, hotel stay and expenses to see you guys and not to mention 915$ tickets ( I know!! Ticket master and them over price them because the tickets were listed as 125 $ each) all to come and watch a black stage!! So the box office saved the day by upgrading us to floor seats row B. We were elated. We got a great view of you. We got good pictures. You made eye contact with Yvonne and she says it's now official. You are her husband. One day we shall meet you in person. I'll make sure that happens. She has missed this opportunity because she can't come to clubs yet. I bet you she prays for you daily. She loves your character. The fact that you love kids. She says you are beautiful and the most handsome man on the planet. She says God took his time making you. She adores uou. I've never seen Yvonne adore anyone and is not shy to admit it publicly the way she adores you. Your music is awesome. Your performance was the ultimate experience for us especially being so close to the front.
May God continue to reward you in your talent. Your health and your bufiness. May He give and surround you with awesome staff. May He bless your family and friends. May He give you peace, wisdom and joy and surround you and your home with awesome friends and people who are willing to help and advice uou. Stay away from drugs for our sake. We want you around for a very very long time. Hope you and Yvonne meet one day. She's studying to b a doctor ( peditrician) at the university of Arkansas.
Trey Songz AKA Tremaine Aldon Neverson... my FAVORITE male artist on the scene – and not because of his stunning good looks (he is definitely a ladies man... they don't call him Mr. Steal Yo Girl for nothing!), but because Trey is sincere, down to earth, loves the Lord, his family, his fans, and us (his Angels). Trey keeps it real all the time; in conversation and through his lyrics!
When Trey performs, the ladies are always at attention! One memorable experience was during PPP tour at the Orpheum in Memphis, TN (8/15/10) and I had the pleasure of taking his tie off and he gave it to me!
My first time meeting Trey was 3/15/08 at the Cannon Center in Memphis and I took a picture with him! I was so excited; stayed up all night!!!
I saw Trey in concert 3 times that year. I've seen him a total of 8 times between Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Louisiana, last being at last year's Essence Festival which was an experience of a lifetime, and I had the opportunity to fellowship with other Angels and his mother, Mumma April, who is such a beautiful woman inside and out! I have nothing but the utmost respect for her & Trey!
Fun facts... Trey wanted to be a rapper. He came on the scene in 2005. Trey's Angels began 9/14/2010 (I've been member since day one). Trey has 5 albums and the 6th album Trigga will be released July 1, 2014! You gotta get your own copy! If you've never seen Trey in concert, you don't know what you're missing and would be in for a treat!
Trey Songz stage presence is like no other!! Trey puts on an amazing show, it's not just a show it's an experience that you will NEVER forget. He has countless hits and the audience sings them like they're their own! He captures you with that beautiful smile and engages you throughout the night. The audience is very much apart of the show as you sing along, and engage in conversation. He truly makes you feel like your the only woman there and he's speaking only to you. His vocals are unmatched and always on point. He has one of the best live bands around and they go in on every show. He always has some little surprises in store too. Trey is a international artist traveling all over the world and his hits are known throughout these countries. If you love great R&B you have to have a #TSE (Trey Songz Experience) . He's such an honest and humble person and I believe that's what makes his show that much better. Oh and it doesn't hurt that he is beautiful and takes his shirt of displaying his amazing abs! He has a huge following speared by his most dedicated fans his "Trey's Angels". We go so hard for him and in turn he shows us so much love. We are always deep at his shows and rep him consistently. He has just dropped a new album "Trigga" in stores and online check it out and he will embark on a new tour very soon to support this album. I know I will definitely be hitting several shows hope to see some new fans there too!
I use a wheelchair & was in the 2nd row @ a concert in Los Angeles last year; sitting next to a complete stranger & the woman infront of me stood up shaking her booty in my face so I couldn't see the concert. The kind stranger next to me tapped this woman on the shoulder saying, " mam, baby girl can't see with that big ol' booty shaking in her face..." She replied that she doesn't care since Trey is her boo. So the man asked if I could stand & I can if I hold onto someone/something & he sid Ima hold you all concert. I'm sharing this since that goes to show that Trey Songz's has kind fans who help gimpy fans, actually I consider myself more as a supoorter of Trey Songz since my love for him is not the usual type, it's the forever type. Because of that great experience at my first Trey Songz concert, I went to 3 more last year & have tickets to spend my 30th birthday celebration in September @ the music festival Trey is a part of. I bought my tickets early in hope of being able to be VIP so I can finally meet him, but they were already sold out :(

Trey Songz, otherwise known as Tremaine Neverson has been making music since 2005 yet over the past few years he has gained international commercial success. His last two albums both topped the charts in the US and spawned a string of hits, his following has grown dramatically over the past decade and fans fill his shows in huge numbers.
He has supported some of the biggest names in the hip hop business including Jay Z, Usher and Nicki Minaj so he has learnt a thing or two about how to really put on a show. The bass heavy 'Passion' kicks off preceding and Trey appears to screams from the audience. Despite his womanising persona often portrayed through songs such as 'Neighbours Know My Name' and 'I Invented Sex', Trey is clearly dedicated to his family, friends and religion as he thanks each multiple times during the set.
His fan base have clear dedication and he shows them great affection, thanking them for their support before beginning frequent set closer 'Bottoms Up', his collaboration with Nicki Minaj. The crowd are still singing as Trey leaves to huge applause.
I love Trey Songs but this "performance" was terrible!! I drove over 200 miles one way and arrived at 9:15pm. Trey arrives with his entourage at about 12:40am. He was shown to a table and while the club continued to pump up crowd, play same songs, and tell us that Trey will come out in a minute, he never performed. I was in front row and watched as the bevy of groupies were told to get off stage. Get back on stage. Get off stage, get back on stage...ugh! Finally at 1:25pm I went outside and said forget it. Other patrons started coming out at 2am-club closing, to say he NEVER performed. He took pics with 10 girls and left. Smh. Very disappointed to say the least. This was not a performance but a damn appearance!!! I wouldn't be so upset but the club owners and such were saying oh "Trey said he's going to perform 10 songs!" "Where my single ladies at for Trey?!" "Trey's about to hit the stage!" Bullshit!
Highly disappointed and very angry about the "concert"
I feel cheated, lied to and tricked.
After standing for 4 hours in an attempt to be close to the stage, enduring endless shoving,being constantly hit upside the head by ppl standing way too close while trying to dance, while securing their spot. He showed up with less than an hour to perform and got on stage taking selfies and having drinks.
By this time I was highly irritated and almost involved in 3 physical confrontations
Never in my life have I felt so upset. I was supposed to be enjoying my early 49th birthday gift and listening to one of my very favorite artists.
He sounded like he didn't even feel like being there and gave a very mediocre, lackluster, half assed "performance"
I've been to a Trey Songz concert before and this was NOT close to a concert.
Trey was amazing as usual. My daughter and I travelled from California and I must say it was worth the drive. The only complaint I had was the rude club goers. I know every person at the club was there to see Trey but damn. I would definitely recommend going to see Trey. I can't wait until the next time.
The concert was everything!! Meg Thee Stallion, Da Baby & Jeezy were lit!! Trey Songz & YK Osiris did good as well!! I wish that Trey could've performed more songs than what he gave us because his performance felt soooo short, I'm like where the new songs at? But overall the night was great!!
Hennessy Barbados was great Trey came on stage and did an awesome job from start to finish his performance was spectacular. He was one of the best R&B artist that has ever perform for that section of Hennessy for the 10 years it exsisted. Thank you Trey for making my night a wonderful night.
