• JMSN

  JMSN is absolutely my favorite artist to see live. I’ve been a fan for five years and caught my first show in 2015 when he opened for Allen Stone. This time, he did a majority of his songs from his latest album, Velvet. The album has a very throwback funky vibe to it, and each one has its own unique qualities that a somewhat thematic. I feel as though we are really interacting with him throughout the phases of his carrer in that way.

  He gets stronger every album, and so do his performances. His fan engagement is like no other. When going to shows in Dallas, I see a pattern of wet blankets who don’t sing or dance to show appreciation for the art they’re experiencing live. A JMSN show in Dallas, on the other hand is like a pirate ship. Everyone singing background vocals for him as he sings his heart out. It’s a beautiful thing.

  Not only is he an amazing performer, he’s also dedicated to his fans. If you follow him online, he posts live feeds to keep people updated on album progress and tour updates. He also makes sure to meet and greet afterwards. He takes pictures and signs merchandise for FREE!

  It’s amazing that he tours, runs his own label, writes, produces and performs and still maintains the energy to show his gratitude for his supporters. I will never miss a show here and I made sure to tell him after the show. 10/10 will fangirl again!

• When it first came to my attention that JMSN was coming back to Philly I knew it was vital that I managed to bag a ticket as soon as they went on sale.

  Leading up the performance we were treated with support act 'Rochelle Jordan' who hails from Toronto, Canada. She is a very talented singer/songwriter. It was my 1st time hearing her and I really enjoyed her performance.

  It was time for JMSN, the show would include tracks from his highly anticipated Blue album, but he also performed songs from his other album Priscilla.

  The set list was carefully selected allowing us to share in their success over the years with a combination of his hits, only ensuring that all the crowds requests were met. It is true that he definitely interacts with the audience more than what other artists do! He also takes time afterwards to meet his fans and interacts with them, he also never forgets a face.

  Watching both performances felt monumental, they harbour such a talent and have carried with them their roots throughout their time in the industry.

  Of course JMSN most famous singles 'Love & Pain' and Girl (I Used To Know) caused the biggest roar from the crowd all night, this night was unforgettable.

  If you were to take anything away from this review, it would be say yes to buying a ticket to see this band as soon as you possibly can."

• When we got there we could immediately see the venue was pretty small, but decide to take as a positive rather than a negative (a closer experience to the artist). The opening sets were good although the venue seemed to have some reoccurring audio problems, but the artist managed to work through them anyway kudos to them (CrlCrrll and Sur Ellz). Space was not a issue until JMSN came out then the place was packed and you'd be lucky if someone who wasn't over 6ft was standing in front of you (seriously tallest people I've seen in my life). Overall JMSN was on fire, crowd was on fire and it felt like my first time hearing every song even though I was singing all the words. This show was not a disappointment and definitely better than I expected. I had a great time which is awesome, especially considering I lost a close friend to a motorcycle wreck a day before. I had an amazing time definitely the best performance I've witnessed live. Only cons were on Lost Lake (size, audio distortion) not the artist themselves. Overall 9/10.

• A night of Soulful, Jazzy, RnB vibes infused with solos by his amazing drummer, bassist, guitarist and keyboarder. If you're lucky, you'll get a "treat": the saxophone.

  He sings exactly like his tracks. He moves around stage allowing the music to flow through his veins. He dances, he grooves, he flows. He's not performing, he's bearing witness to the beautiful sounds of his band and accentuating it with harmonizing vocals. His band -- soul hypnotizing solos. (Tip: Try closing your eyes during a solo)

  He did songs from his recent work, "It Is", as well as his past works "The Blue Album", "Purple Album."

  Whether you're there for date night, or just looking for great vibes and sultry sounds, this show is sure to hit the spot.

• I could not believe how good this show was. From the people in the crowd, to the energy of the music, I fully enjoyed seeing this band live. JMSN is such an incredible singer, he added extra poetry to the live show, and omg he can move. Too hot. Loved the other musicians, and I love that he called them out for solos a bunch of times. The bassist and keyboardist are especially talented! Ended up buying some vinyl in the end and he signed merch after the show. All around a really great performance.

• I went to Electric Picnic in Ireland and didn't know who JMSN was. Out of the absolutely unbelievable line-up, he left the longest impression with me. SOOOOOOO amazing. Such a stage presence and his songs are soulful, beautiful goodness. I hope I get the opportunity to see him again. I was having an absolutely terrible come up and he saved me, love ya JMSN xxxxxxxx

• The show was absolutely amazing, JMSN can do no wrong in my eyes. I am incredibly grateful for him and his talent. I'm so happy he allowed me the opportunity to take a photo with him too. He is such a great singer and an even better dancer lol. Superb performance. I can't wait for the next one <3

• The show was AMAZING. JMSN is suuch a great live performer. He doesnt need fancy clothes or lights (although the lights were really cool) to put on a great performance. I love the fact that he ended with ‘bout it (plus a little dance break, haha)

• Awesome show, warm up was also really good, @duenditta was great. Eventho it was super hot in the bar, he was playing till the very end! Was amazed what a simple man he is, took a selfie with everybody personally. :heart:
