Biographie

  • Bush are a British rock band from London, England. They formed in London in 1992 and cover the genres of Alternative rock, post-grunge and grunge.

Bush consists of four talented members, Gavin Rossdale, Robin Goodridge, Chris Traynor and Corey Britz. The British boys formed after Gavin Rossdale departed from his former band, named, Midnight. He met former guitarist for the band King Blank guitarist Nigel Pulsford in 1992 and the pair decided formulate a band. Once the pair had found their feet they went on to take on bass guitarist Dave Parsons and drummer Robin Goodridge.

Once complete, the band had to chose a name, interestingly, they decided on the name "Bush", which was based on the place named, Shepherd's Bush in London, which was a main meeting place for the band.

The band released their debut album which was named "Sixteen Stone" in 1994 which notably peaked at number 4 on America's the Billboard Music Charts. Furthermore, their second album, released two years ago, titled, "Razorblade suitcase", reached a remarkable number one in America and also reached high in the charts in many countries in Europe.

The British band unfortunately separated in 2002, with an eight year gap. However, after the band made amends and in 2010 they began work on a new album, "The Sea of Memories". They went on to release this the following year. The album was very successful and their single "The Sound of Winter" made number one, surpassing both the rock and alternative charts.

  • Bush

I just want to say this was a awesome concert. The fans were great and when the two comes togettogits going to be a blast!I was VIP and my first contact was when Bush walked to the room my first impression was...There Bush right in my front of my eyes. There energy was layed back and when it was my time for a pic, they were so tall I thought to myself how cool. Very laid back guys.To this day still can't believe it.

It took forever for them to come on stage but was not disappointed. They started off rocking but then I was saying WOW!!! Into the second song Gavin was Sing and Dancing all over the stage... We went crazy. He was sitting down singing and the fans were waving for him to come down, that's exactly what he done singing his heart out to the fans.I will remember, I didn't except that so soon...Bush loves there fans, I felt loved the whole concert....they played there hearts out and Gavin sang his heart out....but what I will never forget this, is while he was playing his guitar sweat was dripping off.... dripping off his guitar while he was playing and plus he had on his arm sleeve. I thought I was seeing things looked again, oh boy he was sweating up a storm.....how sweet!!!!! I recommend if Bush comes around go see them, cause they are full of love and love is coming out of their music. You will not be disappointed.I Love You Guys....BUSH ROCKS!!!!!

  • In the popular imagination, Gavin Rossdale is best known as Mr. Gwen Stefani these days, so it’s probably worth reminding you that his band, Bush, were a pretty big deal, once upon a time; their debut record, Sixteen Stone, has been certified six times platinum, and in the U.S., especially, they had a slew of chart hits throughout the nineties - their 1996 album Razorblade Suitcase went in at number one over there. In 2010, they reunited after an eight year lay-off - minus two original members, with family commitments forcing Nigel Pulsford and Dave Parsons to sit out the mammoth world tour that Rossdale and drummer Robin Goodridge had planned. Perhaps inevitably, the reformation focused first on the States, but eventually saw a run of UK shows scheduled for early 2012; opening with Sixteen Stone classic ‘Machinehead’, the band raced through career-spanning sets that typically included five tracks from comeback album The Sea of Memories, as well as covers of Pink Floyd’s ‘Breathe’ and The Beatles’ ‘Come Together’. With another new record planned for later this year, the reunion shows no signs of slowing down; Bush have retained a significant cult fanbase, and one that can presumably look forward to new dates sooner rather than later.

  • Bush, the London rockers found instant success following the release of their debut record 'Sixteen Stone' in 1994 but only really achieving commerciality in the States. This pattern continued as their homeland remained rather indifferent to the band's music whilst their popularity in the US grew formidably. They took a decade long break between 2001 and 2011 and upon their return the British audiences seemed to suddenly appreciate this classic rock band's music.

Well that is the impression one gets when stood beneath their set at the British Summertime concert in Hyde Park. The band holds no bad blood and warmly embrace their crowd as they cheer on their arrival. A charismatic frontman, Gavin Rossdale launches himself around the stage to the thrashing introduction of 'Machinehead'.

This level of frenzy continued throughout as Bush played a 'greatest hits' set which may have been the case had this been the States. Although the British crowds were enthusiastic throughout and early singles such as 'Glycerine' and 'Comedown' received massive cheers so perhaps Bush are finally considered iconic here too.

  • I was impressed by the Bush performance. Considering it was a dreary day full of scattered rain and the band scheduled before them (Fuel) were a bunch of pussies and took the money and ran without playing, Bush played on. I was mostly impressed because they sounded/looked like they would back in their 90's heyday. Also, I was quite excited to hear a cover of a favorite song of mine and it seemed to come out of nowhere; Once in a Lifetime by The Talking Heads. They killed it imo and the rest of the show was entertaining. I would recommend seeing them if they come around.

  • What a great show by Bush at Red Rocks.

Rossdale's energy was there for every song and even after going nonstop for 8 songs he he still had the energy to go up through the audience through 70 rows of seats while singing, come back down and go straight into the next song. Some feat for someone who isn't used to our altitude.

I think Bush only played 10 songs though while STP played 12 and the Cult 11. If anyone should have had less time I wish it were the Cult and not Bush. I'll absolutely watch Bush if they come back next year.

  • Hearing the classics from Sixteen Stone and Razorblade Suitcase was great - and the reason we went to see them. The new stuff didn't do it for us and I'm not a fan of Gavin Rossdale being involved with nonsense like The Voice. An ITV film crew recording the show and Tom Jones being in the audience took away from the gig a little. Bush used to be a superb alternative band. It all felt a little celebrity last night though. But that didn't take away too much from the experience of hearing some superb songs.

  • These guys rock, after so many years they still put an amazing show full of energy.

They played hits from all their albums including many from their first one and it felt like grunge never ended.

Also great visuals on a massive screen behind them.

When they played "little things" Gavin dived into the crowd and joined pogo dancing crossed all the dancefloor and reappeared on the 2nd floor where he continued singing and partying with the audience, proper epic!

  • I was blown away by the overall performance and presentation of Bush. It was a visually pleasing show with background videos and multi color lights for each song. Gavin delivered a killer performance on vocals plus he was super friendily with fans running around the venue. The band was cohesive in music and it felt like listening to any of their albums. I would definitely see them live again and recommend Bush if you're a big fan.

  • Great concert. Gavin was extremely energetic, came into the crowd for Little Things as seen with other venues from this year's tour. I believe the set-list changes for every venue. They played all the hits except Swallowed at The Rave in Milwaukee, which I was hoping to hear but I was not disappointed. For those in the Milwaukee area, they said see you this summer. I'm guessing they'll be back for Summerfest or ROCK USA in Oshkosh.

  • Bush is one of my all-time favorite bands. I traveled over 3 1/2 hours one way in traffic from Long Island, New York to Asbury Park, New Jersey to see them and let me tell you, they did not disappoint!! Bush sounded AMAZING and Gavin jumped down into the crowd a few times to sing and dance with his fans. He also walked almost the entire venue while signing and dancing. It was an experience I will never forget!!
