Fabolous, whose real name is John David Jackson, is an American hip-hop rapper who hails from the district of Brooklyn in New York City, USA.
Born on 18 November, 1977, Jackson was musical from a young age. His career actually began in high school in the 90s when he was spotted as a rapper an subsequently signed by the DJ Clue to his record label Desert Storm, which led to Fabolous being secured a deal with heavyweights Elektra records. Fabolous has since signed with giants Atlantic Records and, in present day, is signed with the label Def Jam whilst simultaneously founding his own record label, Street Family.
Fabolous’ first album was released in 2001 and was named ‘Ghetto Fabolous’ in an attempt at clever word-play. Despite the name, the album spawned a number of big hits including singles ‘Can’t Deny it’ and ‘Young’n (Holla Back)’. This provided the platform for Fabolous’ career to take off. His next album was 2003’s ‘Sweet Dreams’ and produced two top ten singles, ‘Can’t Let You Go’ and ‘Into You’. Besides these, Fabolous has released a whole stream of successful singles and has collaborated with a number of high profile artists such as Lil’ Mo, Christina Milian, Trey Songz and Hollywood legend turned part time rapper Jamie Foxx. Fabolous has a handful of albums under various record labels to date and has enjoyed enormous success from them all.
Plus d'infoIt really brought me back to high school to see Fabolous in person, and I couldn’t have been any happier. The venue was FLUXX in San Diego, California, a small nightclub, and it was amazing being close enough to Fabolous to touch him.
The rest of the club seemed to appreciate being in such an intimate setting with Fabolous as well, as the house was rocking and the alcohol was flowing all night long. Fabolous played all of the classics for us fans, including Can’t Let You Go, Make Me Better, Throw It in the Bag, and Air. The atmosphere was electric, and it was some of the most fun I’ve had dancing, ever.
Fabolous was great about getting the crowd involved and the crowd sang along with all of the hooks, which is always fun. Since I hadn’t really listened to his music in the last couple of years, there was a lot of material that was new to me (and some that was actually new, as he’s got an album coming out) and I’m sure that if I see him in 10 years, those songs will be getting the classic treatment then. I highly recommend seeing Fabolous in person for a great time.
They do say to never trust somebody who wears sunglasses indoors, however for rapper Fabolous this is simply part of his lavish appearance that has become synonymous with his live performance. Decorated in sunglasses, heavy gold chains, excessive jewellery and a coat one can only hope is faux fur, the rapper confidently strides onto stage leading his entourage of dancers and DJs to welcome the screaming crowds.
Real name John David Jackson has had pretty consistent chart success in the US and he selects work from nearly every one of his six albums this evening much to the delight of the crowds who sing along to the favourites such as 'Into You'. He does allow the pace to drop slightly for some tracks lifted from early mix tapes which are lesser known to the crowd but they still applaud enthusiastically due to the talent of Jackson's freestyle ability. He gets the whole room jumping effortlessly for a double hit finale of 'Can't Let You Go' and 'Make Me Better' which the crowds goes insane for.
I grew up with John Jackson (Fab) in Brevoort Houses Bedsty Brooklyn. Nichole Douglas is my best friend and she is close friends with him. His performances are awesome. I can see him and Jay z over and over again. I didn’t get to see him this time because the tickets sold out!!! I am trying to get tickets for 6/28 @ The Barclays. I’ve seen him at Hot 97 Summer Jam, on tour with Chris Brown in Cleveland. I Love Fab
Yo I had a really great time!! It was so Lit!!Love how he went back and did some of his classic songs from certain mixtapes and albums that he put out over the years!! Yes!! I'm a day 1 fan cause he is such a talented artist!!and Will always be one of my favorites!!LEGEND Top 5!!Cant wait till he comes back here to Philly to do another Show!!

They truly turned the stadium into a giant party and the special guests were a pleasant surprise!
There was little wait time in between sets and I loved how Fabulous and Chris Brown kept the crowds attention
OMG!!!! I just gotta say one thing!! This show was fire!!!!Loved it!!! Chris Breezy and Fabulous killed it!!!! And even the dancers and DJ was doing there thing!! HOT!!! HOT!! Show!!
Fabolous was very good. Best performance of the night. Fetty Wap was also great. Summer Jam through 107.5 just isnt what it used to be so the overall show wasn't that great
Fab was the shit. What more can I say. He rocked the stage and chilled in a section next to meet. I died he free style Friday for us and gave us old and new hits
