  While we are waiting for the concert to start, there are projections on the back of the stage. 5 image rollovers with fake posters made in 80s style. The artwork is really retro and charming.

  There are images from the Italians do it Better record company, album covers of both bands and pictures of band members and famous actors and rockstars.

  The concert starts and Desire gets on stage.

  The core members of the band are the singer Megan Louise who is wearing black latex, the producer Johnny Jewel with his leather jacket and signature painted black tears, drummer Nat Walker and an anonymous blonde who is playing keyboards.

  The first song is Mirror Mirror. A dreamy keyboard that echoes of GTA:Vice City warm beaches. The song has strong 80s vibes. It’s an ok warm up but not the strongest start.

  Dans mes Reves is the only song in French the band plays on this set. The blonde keyboard girl is expressionless. She wears huge sunglasses.

  For Don’t Call, which is probably the most rhythmic song of the set, Megan gets an old orange telephone that she pretends to use while singing. It’s just 25 years ago when such devices were common in every house.

  If I Can’t Hold You starts as a calmer song, but after one minute the bass synthesizer starts to pump rhythm in the song. The song changes pace again and a violin makes its entree’. The song surprises for its sudden changes. Megan dances rigidly while the concert hall gets flooded by the sound.

  Next on the set is a cover of Bizarre Love Triangle by New Order. Definitely not the strongest part of the set.

  Finally Desire conclude with their signature song, Under Your Spell, with the famous dialogue between Megan and Megan.

• Desire is an electronic music based in Portland, Oregon. The group was formed by composer and record producer Johnny Jewel who released them under his label Italians Do It Better. The band also consists of vocalist Megan Louise and percussionist Nat Walker.

  Johnny Jewel has been composing for years and has worked with such artists as Farah, Appaloosa, and DJ Mike Simonetti in addition to Desire. Desire has had their single "Under Your Spell" appear in the soundtrack of the 2011 neo-thriller film "Drive" with Ryan Gosling. Johnny Jewel, the label owner and band member, is also collaborating and composing some music for Ryan Gosling's directorial debut "How To Catch A Monster" in 2012.

  Desire has even had songs sampled by major artist Kid Cudi who used their single "Under Your Spell" in his 2012 song "Teleport 2 Me, Jamie". Their performance contains a hearty dose of nostalgic throwback to the 80's electronic era with it's synthesized solo's and love related lyrical ballads. Megan Louise is a charming performer to see sing live who captivates with her moving vocal melody backed by the synth and percussion of Johnny Jewel and Nat Walker.

  Desire employ's stage tactics in their live shows such as mood enhancing lighting and dramatic attire with classic looks and sequins that make it feel as if your at a disco in 1980.
