• Menomena is a two person band from Portland, Oregon made up of Justin Harris and Danny Seim that performs music in the genre of rock. They are an indie band. This band is unique in the way that both of the band members share the vocalist duties and they often swap instruments and roles when recording in a studio. This does not happen when they perform live though, as Seim plays the drums and Harris switches between several instruments. This band was nominated for a Grammy in 2007 for their album "Friend and Foe" in the category of best recording package.

  I watched this band perform live in New York City. They performed at an indoor venue on a basic stage with a very small amount of props. The lighting was the usual bright flashy colors shining on the band. Their music was more of a type that you would just sit down and listen to. There was a decent sized audience, but it was limited due to the size of the venue. The audience, including myself, really seemed to enjoy this band. After every song the room filled with cheers and claps. The concert was very enjoyable and I would recommend going to see them to anyone. They are really passionate about their music so you know that you will be guranteed a great show, just as I experienced.
