• The Feeling

  The Feeling were amongst the leaders of the indie pop movement of the mid-2000s. Their soft rock tunes hence instantly transport many, like me, in their early twenties, back to their teenage years. You can imagine my excitement when I found out that they were touring again. My friends and I immediately booked tickets to see them in Liverpool.

  The night kicked off with ‘Blue Murder’, a single from their latest album, ‘Boy Cried Wolf.’ On a darkened stage, illuminated by a single spot light, lead-singer Dan Gillespie-Sells generated hush amongst the previously screaming audience. And then the lights flashed on, the rest of the band appeared, and the guitars and drums jumped into life. Despite having faded slightly from the public glare, The Feeling clearly still enjoy considerable popularity, with crowd members singing along to their latest release.

  But the audience really came to life with the next song. The crowd jumped and screamed as the familiar intro to ‘Fill My Little World’ echoed around the room. Soon everyone was singing along to the soft-rock tune and I got that teen-nostalgia trip I’d been searching for. A similar effect was achieved later in the show when The Feeling played their earliest hit. Possibly one of the most sickening (but obviously secretly loved by many) chart tunes ever, ‘People in Love’ often proves divisive. Not here though. The Feeling performed with such enthusiasm that even the greatest sceptics, dragged along by their less world-weary friends, threw themselves into singing along.

  While it’s fair to say that I most enjoyed the romp through the indie pop classics of my teenage years, the Feeling also didn’t disappoint fans wishing to hear their new releases.

• The Feeling never disappoint. Not sure how many times I have seen them perform, but it's a fair few. Scala in Kings Cross is the ideal venue. It is a intimate venue which packs in the crowds.

  As well as performing the expected favourites with the audience dancing, singing and going mad, they performed an excellent selection from their new self titled Studio Album which really is great and captures The Feeling sound which we all love. The group put everything they had into the performance with the lead singer sweating like a pig by the time the gig was over.

  A real treat for us all was that the band were happy to meet and great all the fans after the show and sign albums, posters, mugs etc and have pictures taken.

  The band richly deserve every continued success and should continue to go from strength to strength.

  What a great show. This was a proper professional performance which shows why The Feeling did so well as a live band before hitting the charts with Twelve Stops from Home. Danny really delivered and the whole night was a massive singalong. We don't often get bands of the stature and quality of The Feeling at the Roadmender but why not? Its a decent size venue (850),the acoustics are excellent, and there is a huge local audience (200,000). Would see again!

• The Feeling was great !!

  We (my son and i) came all the way from Holland to see them performe before the stop touring until 2018.

  It was way worth while to travel this far to see them again !!

  My best memory is "i love it when you call"!!

  The gig was at the Concorde 2 in Brighton which was a really great location !!

• The feeling are an amazing band to go and see.

  They're lovely lads with bags of talent and certainly know how to entertain a crowd.

  I have been to see them many times at many different venues, and have never left at the end of the night disappointed.

  Definitely a must go and see by any age.

  What else can I say but they're down to earth, genuinely decent guys.

• The Feeling gig - as always - was superb.

  The guys put so much heart, soul & energy into their music that it never fails to be dynamic. As if that it is not enough, the guys will always make time after a gig to say hi to fans. They are not only an incredibly talented band but they are 5 very nice guys too.

• The feeling were just great- songs from way back - 10 years to now - great voice from dan and brilliant playing from the rest of the group too

  I'm sure they could have filled a larger venue as was packed and very hot

• Superb night of music - new album, in it's entirety, followed by some great "oldies". Intimate venue with great sound.

  All started off with a great warm-up from The Feeling backing singer Dani Sylvia.
