  Anvil are heavyweights in the metal scene. The Ontario trio are said to have sparked the genesis of thrash metal as we know it, chiefly by the four thrash metal pillars they were said to be an early influence on: Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax. They’ve put out a whopping 15 albums over three decades and have stayed true to the authentic heavy metal sound. They’ve never stooped to a gimmicky low nor sold out, from their early albums on Attic, Hard ‘n’ Heavy, Metal on Metal and Forged in Fire, to their latest, Juggernaut of Justice and Hope in Hell on eclectic Brooklyn label, The End.

  They’ve been tearing around Canada and the States recently and are just about to kick off the east coast leg of their tour.

  The experience of Anvil live is phenomenal. They are still as chaotic as in their early days. Steve ‘Lips’ Kudlow shreds some serious solo-age on his signature black flying V and Robb Reiner blasts monuymentally from the kit. The two guys have been playing together since they met in high school in 1973. It’s good to see they’re still so tight.

• Sadly I couldn’t make it to the gig at the Worlds End in Camden, London, mad I was gutted

  to put it mildly, but my husband did go and he said they were absolutely brilliant (as always). They were on top form and played a very long set and came back on stage several times for several “encores” as they could see the crowd were really having a kick ass time! He also said to me that Anvil as the whole was enjoying themselves too. Brilliant evening.

  We’ve seen Anvil several times and they always rock and have a great interaction with the crowd. We have also met and spoke to them in person and what a mega friendly bunch! The lot of them.

  Rock on Anvil !!!

• Great show.Energy and

  fan interaction was fun. Too bad management doesn't promote better. No way only 200 people should be at their show at The Roxy on the Sunset Strip. Merchandiser only had small shirts available. Please go see these Heavy Metal pioneers. They are worthy of so much more.

• Great show, after 40 odd years and still going, Anvil is Anvil! People were able to mingle with band members before the show which shows they're great blokes. The Flowerpot in Derby is a great live music venue.

• They were Brillient! The boys still know how to cut it! Can’t wait until they return to the uk the support bands were excellent also, first time i’ve seen them and they were very good

• Anvil killed it! So much energy and can still kick ass to this day. It was one of the greatest shows I’ve seen, and they have more heart in their music than many other bands of today

• Very Underated Band for all the Great Music they put out for decades. Love this band. I think there music needs to played on every fucking radio station in the World.
