Biografía

  • X Ambassadors is an American alternative rock quartet, formed by brother Sam and Casey Harris and childhood friend Noah Feldsuh, hailing from Brooklyn, New York, U.S.

Originally recording and performing under the moniker Ambassadors, it wasn’t until singer-songwriter Sam Harris, keyboardist brother Casey Harris, and guitarist Noah Feldsuh all graduated from college, and moved to New York City that the band found success. In New York, Ambassadors also found drummer Adam Levin, who alongside the rest of the band crafted the debut output the EP “Ambassadors”, released in 2009. The record was led by the single “Tropisms” which later earned a music video and was supported by a tour alongside the likes of LIGHTS. The full-length album “Litost” was issued later that year, spawning the singles “Unconsolable” and “Litost”.

The single “Unconsolable” also made it on to the band’s “Love Songs Drug Songs” EP, which charted at No. 11 on the U.S. Heatseekers Chart in May 2013. The song and EP were later heard by popular rock band Imagine Dragons, who insisted that their label Interscope sign X Ambassadors, as they were now known. Following the release the band embarked on a national tour in support of Imagine Dragons, Jimmy Eat World, and The Mowglis. Also in 2013 the band was featured on Eminem’s “The Marshall Mathers LP 2” track “Wicked Ways”, and collaborated with Keljet on the single “Love of a Life”. X Ambassadors subsequently released the single “Jungle” alongside Jamie N Commons featuring Jay-Z, which was proceeded with “The Reason” EP in April 2014. Peaking at No. 7 on the U.S. Heatseekers Album Chart, the band supported the record opening fro Panic! at the Disco and Imagine Dragons.

  • X Ambassadors

When I heard X Ambassadors was going to be in town (and I'd be able to see them for the third time in just a few months), I felt a little skeptical. Why pay to go see them again after seeing them perform at Butler in March and Bonnaroo just a little over a month ago? However, even being a little uneasy, I decided to go again. After all, both times I had previously experienced their music live, I loved it. Why deny myself the pleasure of hearing songs like "Unsteady" and "Renegades" live once more? Therefore, I decided to purchase a pair of tickets to see such a great band on the rise play (and oh man, am I glad I went).

In the previous two performances I had seen by X Ambassadors, they were previewing songs to come out on their upcoming full length LP, VHS. However, this time when seeing them, the album had been released. Partnered by old, popular songs like "Love Songs, Drug Songs" and "Giants", the new album was really put to the test in a live situation....and the crowd loved it. Everyone sang along to each and every song from the very beginning. Crowd favorites of course seeming to be "Unsteady," "Renegades," and "Jungle." Overall, the atmosphere at the concert could not have been any better. The encores of "Superpower" and "Unconsolable" ended the show with nothing but positive things to say about the band. Mixing songs from each of their EPs and now their LP truly made this a special show. It was the first time they were the headliners in Indianapolis and having a sold out show, I think most everyone there can agree that it was amazing. Undoubtably, this time was the best show they had put on that I had seen.

Sam truly engaged the crowd with his insane range and beautiful falsetto. Not only that, but boy can that man play the saxophone. His brother, Casey, is incredibly into what he does and his passion is easy to see in every show. Noah, although not the most expressive of the group, gets super excited when the crowd notices the talent he truly has. Last, but certainly not the least, Adam, can play the drums so well. Most people don't truly notice the drummers since they sit in the back, but Adam plays with such passion and intensity that it was hard to see what he does. Overall, the group plays so well together and I can't wait to see what the future holds for these talented, young artists.

Essentially what I'm trying to get at is that if the opportunity arises that you can see X Ambassadors live, GO. You will not regret it at all. Even having seen them three times now, I would still go any day if I had the chance. In all honesty, just go buy the tickets for the concert now. It is a concert I can guarantee I will never forget.

  • X Ambassadors were great live! I was invited by a friend to attend the concert and at the time all I really knew about X Ambassadors was that their song “Jungle” with Jamie N Commons was used in the Beats ad for the world cup and the promo video for the new season of “Orange is the New Black”. After agreeing to go, I downloaded their two EPs and started getting familiar with their music. I really loved what I heard and was really excited to see them live.

The venue was small, but as the band is still relatively unknown, that wasn’t a huge surprise, and it worked in the favor of the crowd because we could literally stand in front of the stage within arms reach of the band. They were awesome to watch mainly because the lead singer, Sam, danced ferociously around the stage, so much so that he actually pulled his back during one of the last songs and couldn’t do an encore. Another highlight was the keyboardist, Casey, Sam’s brother who is legally blind, but is an enthusiastic keyboard player who dances the whole time he plays.

Another highlight of the show was that they brought on Jamie N Commons for their final song, “Jungle”. And since Sam had injured his back, Jamie played an unreleased song for the encore while Sam went in the green room to rest. Overall, it was a really fun night and I would highly recommend going to see them live.

  • New York alt-rock outfit X Ambassadors may have a name that sounds like something straight out of marvel yet this cannot detract from the dark and weighty indie rock sounds they have recently released in their debut album 'VHS'. The group has been known on the circuit since 2010 and even before they collated their tracks into a succinct studio album, they had a hugely dedicated following for their music.

They were a band heavily buzzed following their debut UK appearance at Reading & Leeds festival. The small tent was packed to the brim as Sam Harris and co file out in recognisable all black and begin to disregard all sound barriers. The sheer volume of music these four musicians create is staggering and it felt uncontainable in a small tent, it belongs on the main stage for sure and would still stretch across the site. The fans and bystanders were equally impressed by the finale of 'Renegades' and 'Jungle' and offered some of the loudest applause for the stage.

  • Incredible! Looking forward to seeing all of you again in Toronto and Canada!I loved the song Renegades and Unsteady. They are nicely written and nicely sung. I went with my aunt, uncle, and a friend name Elizabeth.

My uncle loved the opening song Jungle. It really brought and caught everyone's attention including his.

My friend Elizabeth and I would like to pass on the message to Sam and Casey Harris the following compliments:

    - For Sam, you have an incredible singing voice and Elizabeth and I look forward to hearing the song Joyful.

    - Casey, you are a talented keyboardist. A wise friend once told me to spread this message to everyone and cherish this with your heart: "Smile. Always smile. Keep on playing and show those old and new generations that it isn't the disability that defines you."

Keep on playing and rocking the world!

  • Although this is he second time I've seen this band, I still don't know a lot about them but my friend was keen to see them again as she arrived late last time and only managed to catch ten minutes of the gig.

I was so glad I saw them again as they were terrific. It was the first time I had been to the venue - Heaven, London - and what a fantastic venue it is. The atmosphere and sound quality were excellent which added to a memorable and enjoyable evening, as well as the band being joined on stage during the encore by Jamie N Commons who is a favourite artiste of mine also.

The music was great, particularly the keyboards and the heavy drum beat and the band have a lead singer who knows how to get the crowd joining in. They are a band I will definitely see again and will endeavour to check out their back catalogue of music.

  • This was the absolute next show of my existence and it looks to remain that way. I saw X Ambassadors once before and they set the bar pretty freaking high that day. But the second they came on stage last night, every person in that room lit up brighter than the stage lights. Their energy is indescribable so I'm not even going to try. They are so genuine and talented. Every lyric they sing you can tell comes from the heart. They truly enjoy performing no matter where they are. They are a band that every person must see before they die. Whether you know them or not, you'll leave that show as the biggest X Ambassadors fan you know. I can't recommend seeing this band enough. I just want to thank them for such an extraordinary night. Without a doubt, the best night of my life. :'-)

  • WOW! This bands energy is beyond infectious. From the moment Sam bursts onto the stage it is impossible not leap from your feet and dance along. His voice is soulful, his audience interaction is impeccable and his general on stage performance is one of a kind. Casey is insanely talented and luckily showcases his own unique performance as well. Even with being visually impaired, he is a master of his craft and shows as much energy as Sam exudes. Adam and their newly added guitarist really round the band out to have one amazing live show. Be prepared to sing until your voice hurts, dance until your feet feel numb and have one amazing night with these talented guys! I will never miss the opportunity to see x ambassadors on tour again!

  • I originally bought these tickets only half knowing the band but I listened to both them and the opening band (Grizfolk) for a couple months leading up to the concert and let me just say the tickets I bought was the best money Ive ever spent. Both bands played an absolutely INSANE show!! Both bands did a respectful shoutout to Paris and got the audience involved in songs and were so loud and proud that I could feel the music becoming a part of me. This is hands down the best concert Ive ever been too and I hope both bands come back soon as I would hesitate for a second to buy tickets for round 2! I cannot say enough how much I love these bands and enjoy their music and the incredible show they put on last night!

  • Using Songkick was very easy and loved knowing all the artists playing in the city I was visiting. The venue was intimate and fantastic for small artists. The staff very friendly and helpful. Supporting act was wonderful but was a little disappointed in the X Ambassadors. The main singer over performs and I didn't feel his performance is connecting to the music. He needs to step back a little and really feel the music and stop worrying about the crowd moving their arms and holding up lights. If the crowd connects and feels the music they will do this naturally without being told.

  • X Ambassadors deliver, no matter the event or venue. I've seen them rock a 2pm festival opening, and now this opening spot for Milky Chance.

Sam Harris's voice is amazing, and he blows the audience away with songs like Gorgeous, Naked, and Unsteady. The keyboard player's head-banging is not to be missed, in big songs like Giants, Jungle, and the uber-popular Renegades.

This is a band that deserves to be heard. They've got a ton of great music, and deliver it whole-heartedly. It's great to see them get ahead.
