  • Palaye Royale

Great show! Was at Vulkan Arena, the 29th of January, 2023.

We arrived around 4pm-ish, as we had just eaten not too far away and just thought "oh well, might as well line up! Bet we'll get pretty far front if leave now" and we found a few girls already there (they had VIP, meet-&-greet and acoustic, so their given time was 5-6pm while we had 7pm) and we quickly found out we all shared the same favorite artists (apart from palaye ofc), and we stood there chatting. Emerson came by, on his way to the back-door (which meant he had to walk by us) and we got a few selfies with him. He confessed to having just woken up, but still tried to crack a few jokes to makes feel less guilty for approaching him (if you see this Em, I still feel guilty and so does the others. Sorry for running up to you)

Once let into the venue, and our newfound friends (who had been let in way earlier due to their upgrades) motioned for us to stand with them at front-row, we stood talking more and I have to say that both bands who played before the boys were amazing (in chronological order, STARBENDERS and YONAKA) and both me and my bestie was captivated by their stage presence and I almost died when the guitarist winked at me. I think it's George Edwards but don't quote me, I was introduced to their existence that very night.

The boys themselves were really great, and I got so many interactions! Remington held my hand 3 times, Sebastian only once and my bestie got to hold Andrew's hand. (It almost looked like he aimed in on her) Remington got to crowd-surf on his boat and splash us with his water gun. It seemed like they had fun alongside us, judging by the mischievous smile on Remington's face when he leaped onto the railing to the second-floor (the venue is a two-story room with railing for the top-floor and can only be reached through the floors/handicap-elevator or, as Remington did, leap from the two stereos (that was stacked on top of each other by the corner on the right-hand side, from crowd pov) on-stage and just grip onto the bars.

Remington got to make 3 mosh pits, joined two himself and Emerson joined one too. I almost laughed at the utter annoyance and disbelief in that one security's face whenever Rem decided to be a brat and just jump INTO the crowd (he was also kinda tired of me always being up for water when he passed out water-cups to us at the front-rows, and me asking him once for another cup... I ain't gonna pass out due to dehydration. Not in front of THE Remington Leith!)

The show was fun and I certainly didn't want it to end. I wanted it to last forever. The atmosphere and stage-presence being out of this world. They tried, and certainly succeeded, in interacting with every single fan, and I'd like to return the next time they come here (if they'd still visit us in up the cold and small country of Norway)

Some tips and warning if you plan on attending their shows:

    - They made us jump a lot, so maybe exercise your jumping-stamina??

    - They made us sing along- Hold on, let me rephrase that. They made us /scream/ along to the songs. It was A LOT of screaming and I would certainly advice you to bring plugs

  • Small and cozy location, awesome music and absolutly great guys.

They started the evening with the preband "the haunt" which are siblings and super sweet and talented people. They did a great performance, even though most of the crowd just seemed to care about when the main attraction will get out.

After about 5 amazing songs, which I downloaded not shortly after the concert on spotify, the three guys came out and did their thing.

I can just say, if you like their music, you will love their concert. It was so much fun to be there, rocking with them and enjoying the evening. If you really wanted to see much of what they were doing on stage tho, then the location just wasn't for you. If you were further away than the 8th row, depending on the size of the people infront of you, you couldn't see sh*t.

The MTC has a long, but not wide, room where at the end, the stage lies wich is like a half meter above the ground. So performance A, location (depending on which end you were standing) either A or F.

The guys did their best to entertain everyone, Remington(the singer) walked through the crowd, they threw roses and Remingtons shirt. (Please don't catch a cold buddy)

They played songs from their first album, but also some songs of their new album that came out that day.

In the end Sebastian(Bass) and Emerson(drums) even made some time up to meet their fans, take photos and give autograms.

All in all it was a great experience and I would do it again anytime. In fact I'm planning on going when they'll be back next year.

  • The Lost Horizon in Syracuse, NY is a very small venue in which numerous rock and roll icons have played over the last 40 years; and now Palaye Royale can join that elite list of rockers playing this intimate club in Central New York. My teenage daughter and I were fortunate enough to be front row center for the Friday night (11/16/18) show. Opening acts Dead Posey, and Bones whipped the crowd into a frenzy before Palaye took the stage and the show just continued to skyrocket from there. The show was their typical high-energy performance I've come to anticipate, and they did not disappoint. The set was shorter than the show we saw 2 nights earlier in Toronto, because apparently most of the band was suffering from food poisoning. The only reason we know this is because Sebastian came back on stage after the set to say that they wanted to do an encore, but most of the band was out back throwing up (poor guys). But even though they were sick you would not have known it with the high-octane set they performed. Great show! Feel better guys.

  • Palaye Royale was absolutely amazing. Seeing them live was everything I thought and hoped it would be. One of the opening bands on the other hand... was not. Dead Posey was good. They were completely fine for an opening band. So was AnastasiaMax. Bones, on the other hand, was pretty awful. Not only was the music not very good, but the lead singer spit on the crowd and was repeatedly doing inappropriate things with the bassist. Some of that is normal for rock bands but it was just completely overboard. I could tell other people around me felt the same. I was embarrassed to be there with my mom who so graciously drove be and stood in a concert venue for four-plus hours. The opening bands sets were also really long. I think they were around almost two hours. Overall, although Bones made some people uncomfortable, the band I came to see, Palaye Royale was rad.

  • Saw these twice in Manchester 2020 & 2019

1st time was amazing but i didn’t involve myself much bc i was afraid of mosh pits at the time (oh how times have changed) but the 2nd year id been festivals and was in plenty of mosh pits and found out i loved them so i was so involved and it made the experience 10x better

My mum who is definitely not into that type of music came with me still and even she said they put on an incredible show. That night was so amazing their just such a talented band especially live so if you’re thinking of going to see them DO IT! You wont regret it

They also try to meet every single person after the show, unfortunately I’ve not been lucky enough to stay after the show and meet them but that still such a kind thing to do they truly love their fans

the support act the haunt were acc rly good so that was nice

and then PALAYE omg they’re amazing i can’t. i kept thinking i was gonna drop my phone bc the crowd was like jumping and dancing so much and they have so much to the crowd - rem gave someone his shirt, they threw out palette royales, drumsticks, a literal fucking drum, a jacket, so much stuff. at the end emerson trashed his drum kit it was amazing. lmao i’ve been ranting abt it all day so i’ll stop

  • Another great show from Palaye Royale, even if they were the support act, they didn't hold back.

They interacted with the audience and people like me who went to see them just as if they were there as the main act. Even telling people who were shouting for them to f*ck off to tell it to their faces when they are at the merch during the show.

And finally it wouldn't be a Palaye Royale show without Remington taking his shirt off and climbing around the set to jump off at the break downs.

The boys killed the show as always.

  • Second time my friend and I have seen these guys and it was even better than the first time!! It was sadly a shorter set than we would have like but, since they were the first opener, it was understandable. I can't wait to go to a show that they're headline for!!! They are definitely amazing to see live and you never know what to expect from Remington. He may climb up the stage. He may take his pants off. Whatever it is, it's always crazy and fun!! XP

  • Palaye Royal were amazing like always. They are very underrated in my opinion. More people should know who they are because the deserve all the fame and happiness. Their show was was fantastic to watch, and it was very exciting. Sebastian had a messed up leg and foot, yet he still preformed unbelievably well. Emerson was not feeling well either, but he still tried so hard and did amazing. Lastly Remington was fantastic like always.

  • Great show had so much energy and were so nice.

Not only did they set up a acoustic show outside they also waited on the lobby to meet fans. Despite pop evil treating them like crap they still put on a hell of a show. At one point remington climbed the wall and jumped up on a giant amp. Sebastian was dancing and jumping around the whole time. And emerson is the best drummer ever.
