Jana Kramer (born December 2, 1983) is an American country music singer and actress, hailing from Detroit, Michigan, in the U.S.
Prior to becoming known for her talents as a country music singer, Kramer’s excursions into show business began with her acting debut in the low-budget independent horror film “Dead/Undead”. She subsequently appeared in the TV shows “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”, “Grey’s Anatomy”, and “Private Practice” before earning her big break in the CW drama television series “One Tree Hill”.
After leaving the show to focus on her music career, in February 2011, Kramer signed with Elektra Records who issued her first promotional single “I Won’t Give Up”. The single premiered on “One Tree Hill”, was released exclusively on iTunes and Amazon, and peaked at No. 75 on the U.S Billboard Hot 100. Kramer’s subsequent single “Whiskey”, also premiered on “One Tree Hill” and reached No. 99 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
In 2012 Kramer was cast as the protagonist in the independent film drama “Heart of the Country” and released her official debut single “Why Ya Wanna”, which peaked at No. 52 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 3 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Jana Kramer’s self-titled debut album was issued on June 5, 2012, produced by Scott Hendricks. The album earned positive reviews from country music critics and later spawned the single “I Hope It Rains” in 2013. The singer subsequently won an ACM Award for Top New Female Artist in 2013 and released the single “Love” in 2014, which reached No. 37 on the U.S. Country Music Hot 100 and earned a music video directed by Ryan Lassan.
Leer másI saw Jana Kramer for the second time at 103.5 WEZL's Party in the Park in Charleston, South Carolina. I actually ran into her before the show and was part of the meet & greets. Jana Kramer was a fireball on the Party in the Park stage! Her stage presence was rockin’ from the moment she appeared. Early on she found a guy in the crowd to tease, whom she called “Abercrombie” (pictured here). Finally someone yelled to bring him on stage so she did and she made him dance. I’m pretty sure it was the highlight of his year. But she broke his heart soon after when she dumped him for someone else in the crowd she dedicated “Whiskey” too. And she called out a third guy for knowing her character on One Tree Hill. Other songs she sang included One of the Boys and her newly released single Love, which I made it through without crying! Jana was absolutely entertaining, from her jokes to her dance moves. The biggest thing I loved about her though is that she introduced herself to every single fan in the Meet & Greet. Jana Kramer! Of course we know who you are! But she made you feel like you’re just meeting any ol’ ordinary person.
As many do, Jana Kramer made the transition from actress to musician after playing Alex Dupre on One Tree Hill. The Country singer may not have had the same success as fellow soap star turned pop star Fearne Cotton as of yet however she is currently making huge waves on the country music circuit and has amassed a large fanbase.
She is an incredibly lively performer with obvious stage presence due to her long career on the silver screen. There is no doubt that Jana has natural interaction with her fanbase and has the ability to captivate the whole room with ease as she talks to them about the changes between TV and music and how grateful she feels to be able to share her own music. She plays her debut album in full this evening with highlights in the form of 'Whiskey' and 'What I Love About Your Love' which evoke large cheers from the audience. There is a melody section featuring tracks by Shania Twain and Garth Brooks before she wraps off the evening with her largest hit to date 'Why You Wanna'.
Jana Kramer was awesome!! She's a role model to so many people especially to me. She's funny and loving. I am glad I got to go! The most amazing part was going to the front to take pictures with her and to hold her hand! I wish she stayed after for a little bit so she could sign my ticket but it was ok because I got a picture with her!! I would love to see her again but she is not going back to New York right now
Jana was amazing! She has an amazing personality! She interacted with the crowd by talking to us, taking selfies with the audience while performing, and just making us laugh when she told jokes. And the greatest thing is the stage is elevated so us short gals got to see more of her performance. One of the best shows I've attended.
This is my third concert I went to and she was amazing all three times she just keeps getting better and better. She also always has new things planned and it is never anything boring hope I can go to as many concerts as I can of hers
