  There’s plenty of artists we’ve agreed on with our friends across the Atlantic, down the years, from The Beatles through to One Direction, but occasionally, an act who really ought to be successful in both the U.S. and the UK. only really meets with the reception they deserve on one of those sides. It’s probably fair to say that that’s been the case for Omarion; since the premature dissolution of hip hop boy band B2K in 2004, he’s had two number one records in his native country, with O and 21, but has failed to repeat the feat across the pond; a number 14 spot for the Timbaland-produced single ‘Ice Box’ back in 2006 being as close as he’s come to making a real mark on these shores. That didn’t stop him from scheduling a UK tour back in 2008, though; he played a slew of shows across the country, taking to the stage backed by dancers and a turntablist and wearing a glittery suit that looked suspiciously like one of Michael Jackson’s. Both solo and B2K cuts had his cult British fanbase screaming, but he’s yet to make a return. He’s still big business in the States, where he’s signed to Jay Z’s Roc Nation management and has a record deal with Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group; his first album on the label, the subtly-titled Sex Playlist, is due imminently, so perhaps he’ll relaunch his UK career with some live dates while he’s at it.

• Omari Ishmael Grandberry better known by his stage name Omarion is a hip hop artist signed to the prestigious Roc Nation label, owned by the renowned Jay Z. Having started his career in the successful group B2K, Omarion had a fan base very much ready and waiting for the release of his solo material.

  Since the first album aptly titled 'O' was released in 2005, they have continued to follow his career and continue to attend his concerts in great numbers. He has gained huge noteirity through commercial singles such as 'Entourage' and 'Ice Box' yet his devoted fans make themselves known during the performance of early mixtape tracks and Omarion is partly bemused, partly surprised they know his work so well.

  Clearly the artist has more impact than he realises, and his gig stays at this pace throughout with Omarion conducting his devoted crowd in huge singalongs and keeps them dancing to tracks such as 'Girlfriend'. By the finale everybody in the room has thoroughly enjoyed with the show, including Omarion.

• The UK is a wonderful place: free health care, the pub. Britain offers a whole host of incredible advantages and experience for us lucky residents. There is one thing missing though. The presence of Omarion. Across the pond Omarion is a hip hop star, boasting two number one singles and a multitude of top 40 hits. The R&B artist is up there with the likes of his collaborators Chris Brown and other contemporaries such as Kanye, Tyga and Timberlake. Indeed, Omarion’s soulful and smooth vocals surpass many of these. He resonates an old school, smooth R&B vibe that is as addictive as it is enticing. So his lack of popularity in the UK is shocking, to say the very least. However, undeterred, Omarion has scheduled yet another UK leg of his tour, a leg you would be wise to jump on. With hits such as ‘O’, ‘I’m up’ and ‘Ice Box’, Omarion puts on one hell of a show. And let’s not forget the massive tune that is ‘Post to be’.

• Omarion was NEVER at the venue, nor ginuwine. It was a false advertisement and they basically took our money. We bought tickets to see him perform and also to catch Ginuwine but none of them were part of the show only Eric Bellinger BUT we didn’t pay tickets to watch him. Completely disappointing

• I’ve always been a fan of Omarion for 20 years. I’ve been apart of his fan base since B2K til this day. I’ve seen Omarion 3 times. Twice in 2005 and last year it made me feel so good to see my idol in concert 3 times and still a Stan til this day
