  Valeska Steiner and Sonja Glass join together to create the Swiss/German indie pop duo Boy, formed in 2007. Their journey began when they met on a pop-music course in Hamburg two years previous and it wasn’t long before that electric chemistry became apparent. Strictly only performing live, Boy soon caught the attention of German label Gronland Records in 2011. Later that year they released their debut album ‘Mutual Friends’ which certified Gold in Germany before being awarded the European Border Breakers Award, setting them in good stead to deliver their quirky and romanticised indie-pop sound to territories such as Japan and America. With Steiner on vocal duties and Glass on bass/guitar and keys it makes for a mesmerising performance especially in small intimate settings. It’s endearing to see the reaction of Steiner and Glass as their North American debut sees passionate fans who’ve waited a long time to see this exciting duo, singing along word for word to the folky riddled hit “Little Numbers”. Boy are captivating to watch as they get lost in the cutesy enchanting nature of their tracks which whisk the audience into a peaceful haven making it a magical and unforgettable experience. If you’re a fan of Feist or Suzanne Vega, you’ll LOVE Boy.
