  A DJ who is considered a pioneer in the drum and bass community, Andy C is certainly one of the most established disc jockeys to come out of England in recent times. He certainly knows how to make a show entertaining and also experiments with new concepts, including 'double dropping' the bass of two tracks and mixing multiple records at the same time. He is undoubtedly talented.

  One of the best performances that Andy has put on in recent times is his set at Zoo Festival in 2012, where people came in their thousands to witness the man at his best. Andy not only made the set pleasurable for the eardrums, but also managed to turn the stage into a visual masterpiece, mixing his own graphics in time with the songs. Sometimes the bass was so unbelievably loud that it was difficult to hear the drops, which came repeatedly one after the other to the delight of all the drum and bass ravers inside the venue. Andy was also very creative with the chants he was singing to crowd... it was almost as if he had a whole book of lines to shout for each appropriate moment! Some memorable highlights include: the drop for Sub Focus's 'Let The Story Begin', the energy of the crowd when Spor's 'Aztec' was blasted out on the speakers and also some Andy C original remixes like the songs 'Nightlife' and 'Get Free'. With the dancing multicoloured lights intensifying the experience for the audience who were already in awe at the pure quality of the mixing, it was certainly an unforgettable set.

• Absolutely amazing! Andy's performance that night was unbelievable. The tunes he chose were so good, I never wanted to stop dancing :D Warmup DJs were good too, but when Andy came out, man.. that's where the night got a rocket boost and was getting better and better.

  The only thing I disliked about the whole night, was when MC was trying to sing the tunes towards the mid-end of the night. In my opinion, that was kind of a buzz kill, however he was pretty good at singing Reggae and at some points he was good and getting the crowd back into pre-drop mood, and combining this and Andy's skills, drops always were really sick :) Basically, when it drops, you dont even care if there is any background noise anywhere, you are just there by yourself, in the middle of the crowd with the same mindset - dance your arse off :)

  Overall summary - Andy C, seeing him live once is enough to become a huge fan. (Listening to his tunes is different to seeing him live :))

• This man is a living fucking legend. How he has maintained this level of professionalism and perfectionism throughout his long career to a point now where he is as good if not better than ever is impossible to answer. Not to mention his unwavering dedication to the REAL drum n bass. He has NEVER sold out. The man is essentially creating his own genre for those who have never heard drum and bass while recreating and reinvigorating the sound for every old school and newschool dnb fan in a renaissance of the genre. What a set. What a legend. What a vibe. What an incredible level of energy that does not let up from start to finish. U CAN NOT NOT dance your arse off for 3 hours straight. Oh wait. He's also the nicest dude in the game and the greatest ambassador to drum n bass that we will ever see in our lives. He deserves all the awards and more. Andy C - we love you!

• what can i say except the man is a genius. Such a great setlist and good vibes all round. From start to finish it was intense and i didn't want the night to end. Love the fact he takes time to interact with the crowd despite the fact he is mixing on god knows how many decks and bouncing around non stop. Love him
