Nicki Bluhm and the Gramblers -- so much more than blues!! I love the blues. I love great covers. I love spectacular duets and Nicki and husband, Tim (of The Mother Hips) harmonize beautifully. Nicki and the Gramblers do it all. They keep it fresh by playing a largely different set list in back-to-back shows.
Nobody covers Janis (in Piece of My Heart) the way Nicki did it -- she was channeling Janis! Everybody was dancing to every song -- the band had the crowd moving, singing, and just plain happy! They played Mr. Saturday Night off their upcoming record. I'll count the days until I can own it. Do not miss the opportunity to see them.
