Formed in 2008, Big Gigantic is an instrumental electronic, hip-hop, jazz musical group who are based out of Boulder, Colorado.
Big Gigantic blend together huge electronic beats, distinctive bass lines and memorable synthesizer melodies with a live tenor saxophone. They are made up of Manhattan School of Music Alumnus, Dominic Lalli on the saxophone, who takes care of the production duties, alongside Jeremy Salken on the drums and percussion.
They have seen a lot of success releasing their debut full-length studio album in 2009 entitled “Fire it Up”, featuring the infectious songs “Nocturnal” and “Hopscotch”, and in turn earning the band some worthy critical acclaim.
They have played at many different festivals including Firefly Music Festival, Wakarusa, Ultra Music Festival, All Good Music Festival, Electric Forest Festival, Lollapalooza, Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, among many more.
This band puts a great deal of energy and thought into their live show, from choice of lighting to stage design, which makes this whole performance a sensory experience for patrons. They have toured the USA on multiple occasions and have visited countries such as the UK and Australia, continuing to build their audience with this unforgettable show.
Both members have side projects and other endeavours that they are involved in, such as Jam/Electronica groups, Disco Biscuits and Underground Orchestra. They have only played a couple of one-off live shows. Most recently, Big Gigantic has collaborated with Griz and Gramatik to form Big Grizmatik too, which is a project very similar to Big Gigantic, but with a live electric guitar, duelling with Lalli’s saxophone, creating some exciting textures.
With all of the above added to the mixing pot, and having performed at the prestigious Red Rocks, Colorado, last year, the sky is the limit for Big Gigantic.

They have become a staple appearance to global festival lineups due to their evocative and energetic live performance which is seen to be a fantastic example of the seldom seen genre of livetronica.
Dominic Lalli and Jeremy Salken have an incredible stage rapport and really react to each other as musicians to help create the often psychedelic tones. They also attract a great following of like minded party people who are just happy to surrender themselves up to the bizarre visuals and strange compositions that they witness throughout the evening. The whole show has been designed to put the musicians at the forefront during complex instrumentals yet the visuals, lights and sounds all help to create a sort of semi-contained universe of jazz, dance and hip hop. A mix of covers along with fan favourites such as 'Touch The Sky' keep the whole crowd jumping all night along with the excitable musicians.
I've seen Big G many times and they have never disappointed. They are kind of unusual considering one guy is playing saxophone and the DJ and the other guy is playing a drum kit but it works, it works very well.
Obviously one would go to a show for the main act but I personally attend Big G shows for the crowd they attract. I've never met an aggressive person at one of their shows and everyone is really nice.
I saw them perform at both BassLights shows in Hampton, VA and that was insane but I've also seen them in Norfolk at the NORVA and in RVA at the National and their more personal shows are what keep me coming back.
They have a really good production and light show that produces good mellow vibes throughout the night and everyone is into it. You will not see someone standing still at Big Gigantic.
I would recommend these guys to anyone who loves great music and dancing with awesome people.
Saw him Saturday February 25th at the Masonic Temple in Detroit, Michigan. I have to say, I was really excited for this one but it did not live up to what I was expecting. I was in the very front row, middle of the crowd and I could not tell what song was playing the entire time. The bass was so loud that at times I couldn't even swallow. All I heard (and felt) was the deep humm of the bass. The visuals, on the other hand, were very cool, and I have to say it may have been worth it just because of that. Along with the bass, his crowd interaction was very poor, I felt like they were really trying to connect with us but it was not working. However, the opener (The Floozies), were absolutely fantastic.

Best show I've ever been to, hands down. Dom and Jeremy never disappoint. This was my 3rd time seeing them live and they have completely blown me away each and every time. I love these guys and will continuing seeing them each chance I get. Nothing compares to a big gigantic show.
Big G never disappoints ! Red Rocks never disappoints '!! Sweet stage setup , so many awesome artists that joined especially Griz Friday night !bReally wasn't a fan of any of the other acts , listened , didn't get into it. I want Griz gramatik and big g and rowdytown6
I saw Big Gigantic for the first time at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado. They were fabulous! I really enjoyed the show and would travel again to see them. I live in Philadelphia. The opening acts were all very good as well.

Dom and Jeremy are so talented, and the opening and supporting artists were incredible additions to the night as well (especially Whethan, he's gained a new fan). Amazing show; I'll be at Rowdytown VII.
As always, Big Gigantic brought the place down! There was no way I was going to miss this show at the Fox theatre in Oakland this year.

What a great show ! Sound was awesome, lights even better. The crowd was pumped up the whole time. Awesome night ! This is my second time seeing them, will see them every time I get a chance.
