  The talent that British Pakistani artist, born Shahid Khan, who also goes by the name Naughty Boy, possesses is second to none and immeasurable, with the many collaborations that he has accomplished over just the last year, since winning a lump sum of money beating the banker on Deal or no Deal to build his own studio in the back garden of his house. But of course, it isn’t the money that catapulted him to success. Naughty Boy is simply a master of his craft and he has a string of singles to prove it. His debut release, ‘La La La’ on which world class singer, Sam Smith features on, shot up to number one in twenty six countries.

  There is a humorous story that was featured on BBC’s Radio 1 in a real or no real where the fact that was ‘real’, was that when Naughty Boy went for his short interview with Zane Lowe, that day he was recording Emilie Sande and Missy Elliot, so he brought them with him in the car and left them both in the car park outside, whilst he did the interview. When Naughty Boy took to the stage at Wireless Festival 2014 in Birmingham, the audience was crammed in to the tent like sardines to witness the genius that is Naughty Boy. His album, ‘Hotel Cabana’ is one of the most critically acclaimed albums of the decade, features some of the biggest hits of the year, with some of the biggest artists, such as Ed Sheeran, Bastile, Ella Eye & Wiz Khalifa. The bass from the speakers invigorated the crowd as everyone had their hands in the air bouncing back and forth. ‘No One’s Here to Sleep’, was a big moment as was ‘Think About It’ when Ella Eyre came on stage herself, surprising the audience. ‘La La La’ was without a doubt the highlight of the performance, as 90% of the crowd pulled out their mobile phones to capture the moment.

• Whether you like his voice or not, there is absolutely no denying the absolute talent of Frankie Valli. At the height of his performing with his band The Four Seasons, they produced some of the most iconic songs that any one at any age could recognize and sing along with. While I may have been much too young to truly appreciate my parents’ taking me to see Frankie Valli, having been in the presence of true brilliance, I still have a perfect recollection of the night.

  It was just after the release of the newest “Hope and Glory” album, and they had been doing some touring for promotion of the album. For most people it was a family affair, as a lot of kids like me were brought with their parents too. There was a performance that opened up for them, that I don’t remember the name of, but they kept with the style of performance similar to that of The Four Seasons. When it came time for the actual performance, the band was met with a lot of love from the audience. Despite being at a young age, us young kids sung along with the rest of the audience to every single song. Valli, having used his vocal chords so much, wasn’t quite able to hit his iconic falsetto, as we all knew him for, but made the proper adjustment keys changes. They played all the best and made the entire show one of the best that I could have shared with my family.
