  Great show. Before I even get to Polaris, let me first say, Codfish Hollow is quite possibly the coolest venue on Earth. Pretty much in the middle of nowhere, but that's part of what makes it great. I've seen Mark play here before (along with some other great bands, including The Ghost Wolves), but this time was particularly special. Seeing Polaris in person was essentially a dream in which I was somehow awake. I'm not sure whether they were pulled out of the fantasy world of Wellsville or I was pulled into it. As far as I rememeber, they played all the songs off their sole album, plus new singles. They even pulled out a few charming covers and some Miracle Legion material. So, hearing a few of those for the first time live was a nice treat. My only wish would be for this to have happened sooner, but getting to see it at all is pretty much a miracle on it's own. So, I won't complain. My suggestion to anyone reading this, if you skip past everything else I've said, just note this. If this band plays even remotely near where you live, marathon some "The Adventures of Pete and Pete"; then, see Polaris live. Their position and influence is so unique, it's really an experience you can't afford to miss.

• Polaris, have been going for quite a while with their unique blend of ambient music and metalcore that they spin so well around the USA, making audiences mosh wherever they go. Straight away I’m very taken a back by the sheer talent of these guys with the demonstration of musicality on the guitars that they so fantastically demonstrate. They play songs such as “Hey Sandy” which astounds the audience with the amount of riffs and counter melodies before them, with pinch harmonics being executed left right and centre, making the audience scream and shout in adoration. Polaris are one of those bands that completely scream everything that they do, with quite a lot of conviction. Fair play to them for sticking to what they’re best at too. As they hold the attention of the audience so well, making them jump about and dance to the beat of the double kick rhythms and complexities, and the crashing guitars that they so kindly demonstrate.
