  The show was amazing. The little Frankfurt venue was very close-knit and gave a cozy feeling, with more space for interaction between performer and crowd. The first support act, Airways, presented a really good show. The way the band interacted with the audience, and also the music itself, were very impressive. The XCERTS, the second support act, failed to make an impression on me. The music was too monotone and boybandish for me to enjoy. Enter Nothing But Thieves. I have never witnessed such a phenomenal and powerful performance. The music blazed and soared through the venue, with an immense strength I had not yet seen before in a concert. The upbeat, guitar-filled songs competed perfectly with the calmer, more vocal songs. It was a perfect balance between bitter and sweet. Lead vocalist Conor has a voice like I have never seen before in my life. He is able to hold extremely high notes at an astounding volume for long periods of time. The sheer magic produced by that man's vocal chords is something everybody on earth should listen to at least once. The other members of the group gave an outstanding performance as well. They play their instruments as if they were born doing it. The atmosphere was very pleasant and close, due to the size of the venue. However, there was still a sizable moshpit, from which it was definitely better to keep away, if you wanted to stay upright. All in all it was an absolutely fantastic show, and if Conor and the gang ever draw close again, I'll be sure to be there to see it.

• The bass is strong, pounding like my heartbeat as I flutter with excitement. I am surrounded by people all looking forward to the show, my new friends look to me and grin; Nothing But Thieves is about to come on.

  There I stand surrounded in darkness and the heat of masses of people all crammed together for the same reason. As they walk on stage the screaming is deafening yet all I can do is smile with contentment. I am among friends here, or at the very least, individuals that share a single unifying fact: we all love NBT.

  I put my phone away and listen to what Connor has to say, and if I'm being honest I truly don't remember exactly what it was. What I can recall is simple, he's funny, he's charismatic, and he's unbelievably talented.

  Thus the show commences. I'm ready. I'm ready for the hauntingly beautiful lyrics and melody to drag me into an altered state of consciousness, of euphoria, of pure artistic talent.

  And it does.

  Nothing But Thieves is an unbelievably talented band that I look forward to seeing whenever they play near me. So yes, if you're thinking about watching these guys at a concert I'd say do it.

  You never know, they may turn out to be your favorite band like they are mine. I hope that helps you make your decision in regards to purchasing a ticket to their concert. ;P

• It has been a long time since I seen a show with a group performing on the back of a recently released debut LP. That said, this band has so much promise and ability. This band is full of energy and works hard for your approval. I truly hope their recent success and accolades ( well deserved and earned in every respect ) do not impact their ability to produce a second LP with the same depth and breadth of NBT debut release. In my view this is a band on a very steep and rapid accent to the top. I just hope they can remain level headed and maintain the humility that has thus far served them so well. They totally impressed at Osheaga in Montreal and followed it up with another very solid show at the Velvet Underground in Toronto. My only regret and or disappointment, and admittedly this is a selfish one, is that 2 of my favorite tracks ( Tempt You, and Six Billion ) were left of the set list for both shows....Everything that was played however, was performed to the standards that concert goers today have to expect. I would see this band again in a heartbeat, they are amazingly and Connor vocal skills are off the charts good...keep your eyes on NBT....

• What can I say, this is one of the most exciting bands of recent times. If you haven't seen them live at festivals or at local venues then you need to get yourself along to check them out. The band's lyrics, their tight and eclectic mix of guitars and Radiohead like songs (some of them) make them such a great live act. Connor's voice is just out of this world.

  At one of the world's best music venues and at one of the world's toughest crowds that don't take sh*te (remember Liam walked off stage here with Oasis after someone threw a bottle at him for being a prat) it's fitting that such a great group had the floor bouncing to songs like Amsterdam, I Was Just a Kid, I'm Not Made By Design and Live Like Animals while giving some great melodic and heart felt lyrics from songs like Sorry and Particles it was a pleasure to hear this great band.

  I'm looking forward to bigger and better things from this superb band and looking forward to seeing them again!

• Nothing But Thieves are like no one else. They are young with such an energy on stage and yet, they perform like they have been on stage for years and years. Conor Mason, their lead singer, has a truly incredible voice. He can hit exceptionally high notes and you can really feel the energy and emotion he brings up when singing. They have some really great songs, which the crowds always love and even if you don't know them I guarantee you'll be dancing around (the light) to their big hits like Amsterdam, Live Like Animals and if you're lucky enough to see them play it; Painkiller.

  I cannot express how much I have grown to love this band, their music, their passion for music and their evident and important investment in removing the taboo surrounding mental health. They deserve all the love they get and I hope they continue to make great music.

• I first got to know about this band when they were handing out free EPs a couple of years ago outside Brixton Academy, and after listening to it, decided I definitely wanted to see them live. Now they were playing a sold out gig there, to which Conor, (lead singer) referred to himself.

  This is the 2nd time I have seen them and their sound seems heavier than previoysly. Conor has a great voice, possibly classically trained - at least it sounds that way. The crowd responded to their music and there was a great atmosphere.

  The only criticism I would have is that there were too many white flashing lights which at times meant you could hardly see the band; not to mention that it hurt my eyes after a while. However this didn't detract too much from their excellent sound and great riffs. I will definitely see them again. Highly recommended.

• The band itself was good live, but I was a bit disappointed in the sound mix/levels at Terminal West. It sounded overblown and messy and the lead singer's beautiful tenor voice was often muddled and drowned out by the rest of the acoustics. Their studio album has such a polished sound and I felt like they would have sounded much better at a larger venue with better acoustics. At the very least they should have taken some of the instrument levels down a bit to account for the small size of the venue. Overall, I think the band performs well live. They also seem to be genuinely gracious to their fans. I saw them outside as we were leaving hanging out with a long line of fans signing things, etc. I would definitely love to hear them at a different venue and see if there is a difference.

• This is the second time I’ve seen them in Atlanta . They played a great selection from thier last 2 albums and, of course, the one song they released off thier new album. I wish they would have given us a sneak peek of one of the new songs but I guess I will have to wait. I LOVE thier new album and can’t wait to hear the rest Oct 19. Thier stage presence and energy never disappoint and just keeps getting better! Since Conor’s gorgeous voice is what draws me, I was disappointed that the sound/acoustics at this venue wasn’t as good as at the last. I wish Conor would do a few songs with minimal back up ( like Lover Please, or Particles). I can’t wait to see them again, already, and wish to possibly even travel to the UK next year to see them.

• I had the pleasure of seeing these guys perform a few days ago at a tiny intimate venue in San Francisco and I knew leading up to the show that I would NEVER have that opportunity again considering how incredibly talented they are and unquestionably destined for rock star level stardom. That being said, they appeared very humble and grateful and delivered live to hit my very high expectations and then some. The vocals are unreal good at times and solid throughout, as is the whole band and their fantastic debut album translates very well live. If you like Muse, Radiohead, Royal Blood, you'll love these guys. Now catch 'em if you can before they ascend to stadium status! DO NOT sleep on these guys or they'll leave you in their dust!

• Watched them @ Manchester Apollo a few days ago. 4/5 stars from me, mainly because of the "killing" stage lights, which were much too powerful for my poor eyes. They played the same songs as the last setlist I could find online before the gig. I was really happy they played some of my favorite songs, like 'If I get high', 'Particles' and 'Sorry'. Even if my all time favorite song wasn't played, I still massively enjoyed the others. As the night went on there were some cool red lights and purple lights that went well with the songs, and 'Live like animals' showed a video with war scenes, Trump and Anonymous. Even if the second album didn't quite match the first one's brilliance, I totally enjoyed the gig.
