• The Priestess is one of my favorite bands, so it was no surprise when I attended their concert in England. It was held at the Central Station in Wrexham. I arrived early so I could be comfortable seated and waited patiently for The Priestess to arrive. I was in awe when they entered the stage. They were filled with high energy that could blew your mind away. I could hear the strumming of the drums, the percussion and the wild rhythm of the music. They belted out "Lay Down" and had the crowd on their feet. The lyrics were interested and meaningful. The vocals were well structured when they sand "Prior To The Fire". My favorite song was "The Firebird" and I was on my feet on stage, while they performed. The songs are distinctive and original, and touches the heart and soul. When I looked around everyone was on their feet, clapping and swaying to and fro. They captivated the audience had us begging for more. It was an evening well spent listening to one of the best bands ever. I was truly amazed to watch them live and will be looking forward to watching them in concert again.

• Well. The Priestess who played in Brooklyn last night were not the Priestess associated with this band profile on Songkick. I'm not sure if I was the only person there who was hopeful that we were, in fact, going to be seeing a revival of a long-defunct-but-undeniably-great Canadian stoner-metal act. Anyway, the three bands on the bill (including NYC Priestess) were fun and I had a nice time.

  Dear Songkick, please try to do better at matching band profiles to their real-world touring counterparts. Dear Alphaville, please answer your phone, respond to tweets, or provide information about acts to patrons when requested. If you had done any of the above, I might not have spent a reasonable amount of money on train tickets to see a band that wasn't the band I hoped for.

• I saw tickets for Priestess and thought "Amazing! I can't believe they're touring!"

  I did think it was weird that they were playing at a small venue, and that it was free but I was so excited!

  Arriving at the pub I was a bit surprised to see a hand written set list with 3 starting acts and them coming on at 10:30, but it's Priestess, I can hang around until then.

  Seeing the first live act, I was slightly perplexed at the slightly amature performance but I guess Priestess hasn't been active at all in the last 10 years so maybe they're just shopping about for new acts.

  I waited quietly at the back for the openers to be done with so I could finally see "Priestess", anyway turns out it was a different priestess.
