Ready for the World

• My friend and I were given tickets to see a Ready for the World concert. Growing up in the 80's, I remember hearing their songs on the radio. Not really the type of music I was into, so it took a bit of prodding from my friend to go. Reluctantly, I decided, free tickets, why not.

  We saw them at a night club, about 200-300 people in the venue. The band consisted of 6-7 performers. All played their own instruments. No auto-tune. They were all dressed in suits and sounded great. They kept the crowd entertained and updated us all with what they have been doing with their live since being in the limelight back in the 80’s.

  The crowd consisted of people mostly in their late 40's to 50's. The crowd was fun, and when they sang their Top 40 hits, Love Me Down and Oh Sheila, everyone was on their feet dancing. I typically go to rock concerts, so this was a nice chance of pace. No one cared, if you could dance or not, a good time was had by everyone.

  I wasn't too sure if I would enjoy the concert, but I did. They performed well together as a band and I’m glad I went.
