  Special Ed is as Brooklyn as they come but that hasn’t stopped him from taking his hard hitting hip hop show out of the boroughs and into every city in the US. Although they say Hip Hop is a young man’s game, the 42 year old Ed aims to prove otherwise every time he hits the stage, usually appearing to a room of screaming fans as he delivers the winding bars of ‘I’m the Magnificent’ to the packed crowd.

  Ed released his first album at just 16 during the golden age of Hip Hop and you can tell from his Rakim-esque bars that he learnt his craft during the glory days. He ducks and weaves through verses all while the crowd bump along to the booms and baps. His rhymes have aged as gracefully as he has and it’s a surprise to see him deliver them 25 years later with a precision and agility that shows he hasn’t lost a step since he started out. Special Ed is a product of historic era of hip hop and his shows provide the perfect opportunity for fans both new and old to see how people used to kick it.
