Biografie

  • Escape The Fate (formed 2004/5) is a post-hardcore band originating from Nevada, U.S., and are currently signed to Eleven Seven Music.

The Band formed in 2004/5 when Max Green and Ronnie Radke invited Bryan Money to the band using the music networking site MySpace, who subsequently invited guitarist Omar Espinosa, followed slightly later by drummer Robert Ortiz. Later on in 2005 Escape The Fate won a radio competition judged by the infamous My Chemical Romance, which projected them into supporting them on a headline tour with Alkaline Trio and Reggie and the Full Effect. The competition also made the record label Epitaph records aware of the band and along with a successful demo, Escape The Fate were signed by Epitaph and released their debut EP “There’s No Sympathy For The Dead” in May 2006. The band put on a live performance soon afterwards and quickly acquired a loyal following with regular local radio airplay.

Escape The Fate’s line-up has been an ever-changing feature of the band, Carson Allen the keyboardist departed early, Omar Espinosa parted ways soon after that and lead singer Ronnie Radke was reluctantly dropped from the band after an altercation in a desert in Nevada, U.S. that resulted in the death of an 18 year old, which led to him being sentenced to two years in prison on battery charges. But out with the old, in with the new and new lead singer Craig Mabbitt was able to maintain the same energetic and visceral live shows and immediately recorded the sophomore album “The War Is Ours,” which debuted at number 35 on the Billboard 200, selling 13,000 in the first week. "The War Is Ours" tour saw the band travel and play alongside Attack Attack!, Burn Halo and William Control.

The third album for Escape The Fate which was self-titled, represented a shift for the band, moving to the major label Interscope and having the album produced by Don Gilmore, famous for his work with Linkin Park and Bullet For My Valentine. The band’s most recent full-length “Ungrateful” released in 2013 revisited some of the sounds heard on “The War Is Ours” and was produced by the same producer, to promote the album Escape The Fate headlined a free show in Hollywood, California, U.S.

  • Escape the Fate

Last night was my first time seeing Escape The Fate live, but I certainly hope it's not my last! I saw them in the electric ballroom in London, and had an awesome time. For most bands, having three support acts might act as a bit of a buzzkill, but the set perfect and really got the crowd excited.

Like A Storm were a great opening act, and succeeded in getting the audience pumped up for New Years Day. Their Didgeridoo was an incredible sound live, too. Ash Costello kept up the energy with New Years Day, and succeeded in creating the first mosh pit of the evening.

Fearless Vampire killers, though enjoyable, was almost a notch down on the excitement meter after New Years Day's incredible performance (not due to lack of performance skills so much as song style) but still brought it back at the end of the set.

Escape the fate took a long time to set up, but this time served only to raise tension in the room. Our expectations were exceeded, it is safe to say. Craig and the boys put on amazing show (despite a 5 minute break for technical difficulties) and played all of their best pump-up songs. The crowd was just the right mix of roudy and friendly, which meant that although there was a mosh pit to almost every song (as well as a wall of death) anyone who fell over was lifted up by others immediately. The show finished off with 'situations' which Craig owned as though it were his song. All in all, an immensely enjoyable show. I shall definitely try to see them again!

  • Since their 2006 debut album, Dying Is Your Latest Fashion, Escape the Fate has been aggressively touring and tearing up stages with deafeningly hardcore performances.

Lead vocalist, Craig Mabbit, sends screeching lyrics driven into the audience like a rusty, but solid steel spike being driven into the heaviest of stones. Lead guitarist, Kevin "Thrasher" Gruft, delivers piercing leads and sinister riffs with each brutal strike of the strings on his guitar. Bass and rhythm guitar drive each heart-pounding riff like twisted clockwork. Drummer, Robert Ortiz, brings the timing together with his malicious and apocalyptic percussion work.

Breathing new life into the post hardcore and metalcore genres, Drawing inspiration from a wide array of musical influences, Escape the Fate functions live like a well-oiled killing machine ready to melt the listener's face off with blisteringly executed songs such as "Not Good Enough for Truth in Cliché", "The Flood", "This War Is Ours (The Guillotine II)" and "You're Insane".

As any audience that has had the pleasure to bear witness to an Escape the Fate live show can testify, their performances will pump an insane level of excruciating metal energy through the listeners that pulls everyone in and unites them with a mystical adventure of hardcore delight.

  • Escape the Fate appear to have been touring constantly since the release of their debut record 'Dying Is Your Latest Fashion' in 2006. This dedication has meant they now have an expert level of understanding of the live format and how to really perform to their dedicated fan base that has also grown dramatically over the past decade.

In the UK for example the band is something of a cult icon as although they have achieved moderate commercial success in the US, none of the four albums have charted here. When the band do appear on British shores fans rush to sell out their tour. Their last appearance was a triumph with a show that featured both new material along with the favourites such as 'The Flood'.

An anthemic version of 'Situations' got the crowd moshing and charging to the stage front under the command of lead vocalist Craig Mabbitt. Even larger cheers are heard though for an unexpected acoustic performance of 'Ashley' where Mabbitt allows his vocal to really take centre stage. The guitars pierce the room again for a finale of 'One for the Money' which leaves the crowd with an impression they won't soon forget.

  • The Escape The Fate concert was literally the best concert I'd ever been to!

Not only were the band absolutely amazing but they were super lovely too! I got videos of them and then after they finished singing I got to take selfies with the band. Most of them were back in the tour van or where ever they were but Craig came off stage to meet and greet everyone regardless of who they were, you didn't even need VIP tickets.

I was super exited to get selfies with Craig Mabbitt, I even got my CD signed by him.

It was the happiest time of my life and I definitely had a lot of fun. There was also an after party which was definitely great too!!

  • - The sound was crappy as fxxk.

    - A lot of 10 years old - wtf it is NOT Justin Bieber or Taylor Swift.

    - Many creepers and dangerous drunk people.

    - There were like 3 concerts at the same time in the venue, no freaking indication to know if you are in the right room, I spent a lot of time in another room, hearing another band and waiting for Escape the Fate to begin. When I got suspicious because the live was too long and the community weird for Esace the Fate, I moved and discovered that Escape The Fate started a LONG time ago amd was almost over already. Fxxk that.

  • Was my first time seeing escape the fate yesterday and it was absolutely amazing! Would 1000% go see again and again, great singing and interactions with the crowd. The support band, settostun were also amazing and the two bands fit together. Would definitely recommend going to see escape the Fate when they next tour if you want the best night of your life!

  • I was sitting at the bar before the show. the guitarist and a couple other dudes from the band came up, got a menu, and we're worried about whether or not they had enough money to eat on.

then they went out, got on stage and rocked their asses off. a real rock and roll moment. they killed the show too. first time to see them, will definitely go again.

  • A show I was looking forward to seeing, and they didn’t disappoint, a ton of energy, the world over and slaves made the show a nine out of ten! I would recommend anyone who’s into everything from poppunk to heavier music to see one of their shows!
