• The Districts

  The District have so many experimental qualities about their fantastically descriptive sound that they make which could be played at a rock bar or even featured on a soundtrack to a movie. “Long Distance” is their opening song, and it’s safe to say that it’s one of those that you can just close your eyes, put your head back and chill out to the riff. There’s a little bit of a Kings of Leon influence vocally, and then maybe even a brit pop vibe too. The common denominator is that it makes everyone in this room dance their socks off from start to finish. “Rocking Chair” is a more upbeat kind of songs with some beautifully crafted melodies hosting an entertaining back and forth in contrapuntal fashion. They’re one of those bands that have such a fun vibe about them with the amount of confidence that they showcase when performing live, and it translates to the audience. Their sound is distinctive and the punters are left very happy and content after this memorable performance.

• Even though the Districts were great performers, the show was a disaster. I saw so many acts of abuse and sexual assaults during the show. The girls including my friend around me were sexually harassed and they couldn’t do anything about it. The fans were drunk and wild. They were crazy all over the place and that was very sad. Instead of having a good time listening to the Districts, I had to watch out for my safety the entire time. I’m sorry but if you’re artists, you should have told your fans to behave and be kind. Isn’t that what artists should do? Spread love and kindness?

  I’m serious concerned about my safety after this show.

  Also, I heard Abi Reimold is their close friend so she always opens for them, but she sucks so much. I had no idea what she was doing bye.

• Amazing!!

  This band is an incredible group of talents. It was so intriguing watching them play off each other, with songs so many of us have listened to over and over finally being deconstructed in front of us. The lead, of course, is electric, and his deranged rocking was worth the price of admission and then some. The venue seemed a little disengaged technically, as the band frequently had to fix their amps and such, but they were so darn good it wasn't really a problem in the end. Lovely guys too; wish they had more merch so I could show em off! Happily listening and re-listening to their album now. Go see them!

• I attended with my daughter and we were first shocked at how young the crowd was so we thought maybe we have been listening to a teen band and felt out of place. As soon as the music started and the lights went out we never thought about it again because it was so amazing. You were our favorite even though we came to see Hippocampus! You are very talented and remind me of some of the 90’s bands I used to love. I’m realizing that some teens and college kids actually have great taste in music and so does this 56 year old woman and her 23 year old daughter!

• The show was beyond amazing, the bluebird is one of my favorite venues throughout Denver and it was completely perfect and packed full of people but the coolest part is all three bands kept the intimacy, the outfits were great as openers being local, sun club helped pump up the room and the districts ended it perfectly sound, the show was perfect, I can't wait until they come through town again, the hour on a perfect show with a perfect price. I got more than what I paid for throughout the whole experience. Thank you.

• I saw The Districts on their last stop of the spring tour in Columbus. This was my 5th time seeing them live and without a doubt the best show I've seen them play.

  They have really started to hone in on their live set and really bring the noise and fun.

  They bring so much passion and energy to the stage and are a complete blast to see live when the crowd gets behind them.

• I have not much idea how the show was. Waited almost three hours for it to start, at which time the venue was so packed with beery people it was hard to see and the sound was totally distorted. This is more a complaint about the venue, it's hard to comment on the show as a result.

• Amazing show. The Nude Party were a great opener with awesome vibes, and Twin Peaks weren't that bad, although the mixing for their set seemed to have excess distortion for whatever reason. This was my first time at Motorco, and I definitely see myself going back again.

• The districts concert made my heart feel things it has never felt before. The emotion in their proformance was exhilarating. I loved every second of being in the venue, and their opening bands. I give this concert the highest rating possible.

• This show was amazing! The Districts sound even better live and I loved how they interacted with the audience. I really enjoyed seeing you guys at the Rialto venue, though the audience seemed to be a little to rowdy at times.
