Biography

  • Fetty Wap is a rapper hailing from Paterson, New Jersey, United States who was born on June 7th, 1990. Since debuting, he has released two mixtapes, and had an enormous, world wide hit single in the form of 2014's “Trap Girl”.

Born Willie Maxwell and raised in a Paterson, New Jersey housing project, music was a passion of Fetty Wap's from an early age, but it wasn't until 2013 when that interest translated into the desire to make it himself. After joining a rap troupe local to him called the Remy Boyz 1738, he tried his hand at being a staight-up rapper at first. However, he decided to start singing as well in order to have something to make him stand out from the crowd, and it's safe to say that it was a wise move. Maxwell ended up having one of the most phenomenally successful debut singles in recent history in the form of “Trap Queen”, which was released onto the internet in April 2014.

Shortly after it's official release in February 2015, it had picked up enough momentum to hurtle into the Billboard Hot 100 at number two. However, Maxwell shows no sign of becoming a one-hit wonder, or a novelty act. His two mixtapes, 2014's “Up Next” and the following year's “Zoo Style”, have picked up glowing notices and have seen the young sensation guest on records by everyone from Gucci Mane to 50 Cent. Maxwell has the commercial clout and the artistic vision to become a major player in the near future, and for that, he comes highly recommended.

  • Fetty Wap

Although Willie Maxwell a.k.a Fetty Wap has only just begun his career although the New Jersey rapper has been known on the circuit for a number of years as he worked his way around venues and events sharing his music and test driving material. His fanbase grew little by little until he released the US mega-hit 'Trap Queen' in 2014. Now with millions of plays through streaming platforms and YouTube and the like he has dramatically expanded his following.

After signing to 300 Entertainment they will of course be carefully planning the global tours and live performances however Fetty has already headed out on a handful of dates showcasing a few tracks from the upcoming debut studio release as well as some tracks that he has guested on including 'Promises' with Bauuer which goes over really well. He is a pretty smooth performer and has no issue in gaining connection with the audience which will serve him well in the future as he hits the larger venues and 'Trap Queen' is already an invaluable weapon in his arsenal. Watch this space as there is a lot of good stuff happening here.

  • Fetty Wap was killer, such a great preformer ( a long with monty, everyone needs a hype man like him ) . When Fetty Wap was on stage there wasn’t a dull moment. However, his set barely lasted 30 minutes- waited 3 hours for him to come out. He had random people opening for him but for the most part we stood around waiting with the lights on and no music. Also the concert had an abrupt ending, A dj played some music for 20 minutes and than pulled out the aux and gave the peace & walked off the stage. Lights turned on and that was it

  • Overall i enjoyed the concert. The only point i would make is that Fetty doesn't have a huge library of hits (yet) - so a lot of the crowd didn't know the songs apart from a 30 minute section where he played banger after banger.

He didn't save Trap queen for his encore, infact there was no encore at all. The show lasted 45 minutes in total. Enjoyable but overall quite average compared to the hundreds of other shows i've been to

  • I absolutely love Fetty Wap, but the concert was such a disappointment. This really should have been a 21 event! There were nothing but a bunch of high schoolers, they were so immature, rude and annoying. I was disrespected various of times for no reason by these kids. They were all on drugs and acting insane. I would have enjoyed the concert if the crowd were much older, mature and not acting like animals.

  • I was so so soooo excited to see Fetty Wap in concert! All my friends and I were counting down the days till the concert. Sadly he only did 2 songs and the songs he did play he had the crowd sing them more than he sang. I really wish he could've done more songs but overall it was still hype
