  • First off, if you haven’t been to Quartyard since they moved you’re in for a shock. It’s a postage stamp on a random corner. Not the same vibe at all. Security was ridiculous. Going through wallets and doing anal cavity searches just to get in. The sound system is a joke. They must have a noise ordinance that makes it almost impossible to hear what’s happening unless you cram up front. Didn’t get going until well after 5 which was fine. Not sure who was spinning when we arrived but was good. Shiba San came on after 6 and when I could hear him was great as expected. At exactly 8 pm he was finished. WTF! Advertised to go until 9. Worse thing is he fuckin milked the crowd for a good 10 minutes thinking he was going to play some more. He was videoing it from the stage as everyone yelled for more. He did that twice. And then it was over. Everyone standing there dick in hand waiting for more. Total douche move. Hope you enjoy beating off to vids of your adoring fans. Never again.

  • And on the 4th day Shiba said, "let there be funk", and there was funk. Shiba saw that the bass was good, and proceeded to get weird.

From the Woogie stage back to Audio in SF, Shiba does not disappoint. Bring your dancing shoes to his sets because for 2 hours you won't stop moving. His transitions are seamless, the build ups are perfectly timed, and the bass will kick you in the chest.
