• Egypt Central, as usual, played with an incredible amount of energy in Baltimore. The crowd was clearly having a great time. The stage setup was nothing amazing, with just a plain backdrop and nothing much more than the band and their instruments on the stage, but that didn't matter. For the most part, the band was dressed in basic black. There was a lot of interaction with the crowd, which both the band and the crowd seemed to really be into. When they played "Over and Under", the crowd response was pretty big both during and after the song. Even more high energy than "Over and Under" was "Ghost Town." It was obvious that the band was having a good time, and the crowd was having an even better one. Their performance of "Taking You Down" was also awesome. It always seems like drummers have so much fun while they're back there, pounding away, and it's true with these guys, too. To be fair, though, the whole band looked like they were having a blast.You can't help but get pumped up watching these guys play. Their music and energy pretty much demands that you get up and at least throw your hands in the air and bang your head. There's not much chance of leaving their concerts with your voice, since you'll probably be singing and yelling the whole time.
