It was an amazing performance by Delta Goodrem, I have such a great time, I cried when we had her in tears after holding the Thankyou sign up, but she she is a Talented, amazing, wonderful, Singer, It's a night I'll never forget.
She probably remains best known, in the popular imagination here in the UK, for being the woman that ended Kerry Katona’s marriage to former Westlife man Bryan McFadden, but if you cast your mind back to a decade or so ago, you’ll probably be able to recall that Delta Goodrem actually met with some genuine success in the UK, too, with her debut album Innocent Eyes - released at the age of just nineteen - peaking at number two on the album chart over here, as well as spawning hit singles that included ‘Lost Without You’ and ‘Born to Try’, with the latter ending up at number three on the UK singles chart. Since then, Goodrem has failed to match that level of success in Britain, but that hasn’t mean that she’s disappeared; after battling Hodkin’s lymphoma in 2003, she returned in 2004 with Mistaken Identity, which went five times platinum in her native Australia. She still plays to huge crowds when she does tour - backed by a full band - in her home country, and her impact on the country’s pop scene has been proven by her recent appearances as a judge on The Voice; whether she’ll use that as a springboard for a worldwide comeback remains to be seen.
