Bands today have nothing on the bands of the past. Real live music is what we use to call it back in the day.
And let me tell you one of the bands that I loved to see live was The Real Thing. They were a British soul group and they ruled in a time where disco music was the thing.
I saw them back in the day perform and thought they were awesome, but I was able to catch a set they did not to long ago and I will just say that Funk will never die. You have to feel funk, you have to be funk, you have to know funk to get these guys.
They put on a really good show like no other. They make you understand how to get down and jive. Some of the songs I loved from The Real Thing was of course You to Me are Everything and Let's God Disco. If you never been to a funk concert you want to get to these guys concerts. If I ever get the chance to see them again I will. Until then I will just listen to some of their old tunes and jam to those.
