Hmm, what was great about the show. Well, my ear drums are still ringing from the amazing distortion heard at 11. Octagrape the opener were equally great and super proud to hear they were a local band. San Diego lives in LA's shadow for the music scene. Don't hate me SD please. Proud resident and love the minimal smog we get here. Anyways back to the show, purling Hiss started off with Mercury Retrograde which set the tone for the rest of the show. I love how they bring heavy loud shit into such a sophisticated sound. I like the last two albums because they're easier to listen to, but they played it all, man. And being sober throughout the entire show I still felt high with pure rock in my soul. Sappy I know, but whatever. Great show.
