Alan Eugene Jackson is an American country musician who blends in modern gospel and RnB hooks to his country orientated music. Born on October 17th 1958 in Georgia USA.
He is the recipient of 2 Grammys, 16 CMA Awards and nominated for numerous awards in his time, Alan is the literally the King of country music, with his awards shining, glistening like his teeth. Not only that but Alan has been conducted in the Georgia hall of fame, and rightly so, a King in Georgia and royalty in the country/gospel world of music.
His first work was way back in 1989 and it didn't even chart in the Country Chart top 40. A song that Alan would ditch quickly and move onto better work. In in 1990 'Here in the Real World' rocketed to number 3 in Hot Country Songs chart and swung Alan into the real world of fame. After that it was year upon year that Mr Jackson would produced high quality, chart topping songs including 'Loves Got a Hold on You.'
In 2000 Alan was gifted a greatest hits deal, crowning Alan the glory of achieving numerous hits and showcasing them on a lengthy album. But this song-writing machine didn't stop there. He even released a Christmas album in 2002, as if we didn't love him enough- he even had us playing him on Xmas day.
And what a true loving gentlemen. Alan is together with his school sweetheart and has had 3 darling children. There is nothing to dislike about this man!
Read moreFor a healthy dose of straight up, no frills, all-hits country music, you couldn’t put a high-jiving foot wrong with Alan Jackson. The Georgia-born singer-songwriter, who rose to fame in the 1990s with a very impressive slew of Number 1 hits (35 to date!) in the US and worldwide, could be described as a one-man country song machine. His most famous tracks include the get-up-and-dance anthem ‘Don’t Rock The Jukebox’, the balladic ‘She’s Walking Away, and his first Number 1 hit, ‘I’d Love You All Over Again’- all of which, and many more, continue to feature as staples of his live set. The mellow-voiced, steel string guitar-wielding Jackson sells out stadiums and, if country is your flavour, it’s not hard to see why. His penchant for penning songs which blend traditional honky tonk with a more mainstream country sound have led him to success, and the sheer catchiness of his foot-stomping tunes and straight-talking poignancy of his lyrics are what his scores of fans love most of all.
I saw Alan Jackson at a sold-out night at the open-air Arkansas Music Pavilion a couple of years ago, and even the driving rain couldn’t dampen the good-time dancehall vibes of the night. Jackson, clad in a black shirt and white 10-gallon hat, played a whopping 33 songs in just under an hour and a half, including his most popular radio hits, like ‘Chattahoochee’, ‘Gone Country’, and his crowd-pleasing cover of ‘Summertime Blues’. Ever the professional, his voice remains as booming and melodic as when he started out, and the way he turned out hit after hit really gave the crowd what they were after- an incredible performance
Alan Jackson, the Georgian country star has enjoyed a hugely successful career having scored 35 number one hits on the US Country chart and has gained worldwide appeal. He is a one man show and he relies solely on his guitar to recreate his unique honky tonk style. The man himself is also a great showman and never fails to build rapport with his baying crowds who cheer at the slightest tip of his hat.
Jackson is completely at ease onstage as he has a self assurance in his musical abilities and the speed that he picks his guitar strings during 'Like Red on a Rose' is clear evidence of this. The favourites are in tow this evening to keep the audience singing along including
'I Don't Even Know Your Name' and 'Tall, Tall Trees' whilst Alan also takes the opportunity to cover some of his own personal favourites and influencers including Hank Williams Jr and Eddie Cochran.
Finishing with a wind up of the hits, this gets every audience member on their feet as Jackson leads a storming barn dance to 'Country Boy' and 'It's Five O'Clock Somewhere' before an anthemic final singalong to 'Where I Come From'.
Seen Alan Jackson back in Tuscaloosa I believe it was 2011 or 2012.He was amazing. He is one of the last great Country Artist. He put on a fabulous show. He is so gracious and humble. He is my Favorite Country Artist! Will be seeing him on May 4 at the Amphitheatre in Tuscaloosa, the place I first seen him. You will never be disappointed at any of his concerts! He is truly a gentleman❤!I will be taking my baby sister with me this time!We are so excited!
Absolutely fabulous show, even with the marginal weather. Red Rocks is a great venue, and Alan Jackson is a true entertainer. Show was well tailored to the audience, and he provided nice back stories to his songs.
Advice to Red Rocks - work the parking exit situation better. You handled the vehicles coming in fine, but when the show was over, no traffic control what so ever.
Please play Salt Lake City Utah sometime. We got more cowboys here than hair on a dog. You're the best. there would be wyoming, montana, idaho, and lots of westerners that would love to here you. Think about it, we love yo out here.
