• Okay, so the performance of FuntCase I saw in Minneapolis back in late 2011 was incredible. I love dubstep anyway, but I have to say the live version was so much more entertaining. FuntCase himself wasn't too much to look at, dressed in typical DJ attire of jeans and a t-shirt, headphones plastered over a fedora, but the sounds and energy he produced rocked the place.

  Everyone was affected by his intense brand of sound. He took the audience across the spectrum, from light, easy, ethereal type songs down into the dirty bass of hard dubstep. I think the crowd enjoyed that he wasn't a one-trick pony, where all he could do would be play just one type of dubstep.

  People that were there that hadn't had the opportunity to hear him previously more than likely took their time to find out more about his artistry.The music is awesome. You can compare him to Skrillex and Deadmau5, but FuntCase has a style all his own. Even if you enjoy listening to other dubstep, he is worth the time.

  His songs will take you where he wants you to go emotionally, and it's enjoyable when he's at the control. FuntCase is an artist to watch out for in the future.

• We go to Soundcheck relatively frequently. While a small space, it's generally not jammed. Last night, it was jammed and for damned good reason. Funtcase (and Ubur, both) put down a grinding, high-energy set. Had to take some Alieve, today, to combat the post-show aches and pains. WORTH IT.
