The members of the country rock band The Beards funnily enough all have beards, and guess what a lot of their crowd do too.
However their shows aren't strictly for those with beards, but it is probably best to grow one if you can men, ladies...perhaps buy a fake one ;). I'm only warning you of this because they usually burst into a call response midway through their live shows where they chant positive things about beards or 'no beards, no good.' You never know there might be a sign on the door that says 'no beards no entry,' I don't know. Luckily enough I have a beard so Im desperately waiting patiently for them to come to England so I can attend their show and point at my beard and say 'look at me I have a beard guys, accept me.'
They do joke about having a crew member without a beard who they 'pay badly,' and demand the audience to boo at. Humorous but possibly racist in some ways, segregating an unfortunate gent who cannot or doesn't wish to grow a beard. But nevertheless The Beards are an awesome American act that everyone should be lucky to see. Bearded or beardless its a brilliant show and a feel good hour of music for everyone to watch.
Went out expecting to see a few bearded men. I would estimate that 75% of the crowd were heavilly bearded men, and 5% of those were women. (Myself included). (Don't tell them it was a fake beard). Laughed and danced my ass off every step of the way, from "Beards are Back" all the way through to the encore "Born with a Beard". The combination of comedy and raw musical talent was truly a sight to behold. And you gotta give it to any band who stays behind to sign autographs and stroke a fan's beard. Beards, Munich loves you. Please come back again soon. Easilly the best beard-themed novelty act i've ever seen.
Great experience! Especially impressed with the musical skill of the singer/keyboardist/saxophonist and the guitarist. Since the Beards is a novelty humour band I did not expect such a good musical performance. The audience interaction was also very good - we all had quite a few good laughs. If I have to complain about something I would say that the audio was not awesome. Sometimes it was hard to hear some instruments or vocals and sometimes they were too prominent in the mix. But then, this is not the sort of concert you go to to have an awesome listening experience.
First time seeing The Bears live! I wasn't disappointed for 1 minute. Loved everything from start to finish. I'm a metal fan and usually never goes to "softer" concerts but this is one of the best gig's I've ever seen. That energy, that humour, that musicality is hard to beat. I only wish for one thing, that they very soon will return to Sweden! :)
Quite humorous but not really my thing. Some impressive beards on show!
It was their farewell tour so I wish them alll well wether their futures necessitate beards or not
