See all your opportunities to see them live below!Had a brilliant night, the Levellers were amazing as always and the venue was easy to get to from the train. The air conditioning could of been better as it was very hot in there and next time will get an end seat as it was a bit cramped stuck in the middle but overall pretty good night
Absolutely bril-li-ant night! Right up there with my best concerts ever attended.
Night of firsts too.
First time I saw the Levs in quite an intimate setting (Cloud Nine in Tivoli/Vredenburg Utrecht only holds a couple of hundred I reckon). First seated concert (audience AND the band) except for the encore. Was a bit apprehensive about that, but the atmosphere was SO superb! It was like watching them play in your living room.
AND first time I heard them play acoustic, with an extra string section of 3.
The quieter acoustic versions of familiar songs with the extra strings .... WOW! They played nearly all of their acoustic album We The Collective. Elation (Matt on keyboard, the strings, one of the girls on the strings on backing vocals ... actually brought tears to my eyes. That was a first in many, many years of going to concerts too!
PS. what's with (nearly) all of the band on bare feet?
The band and support were great. Unfortunately for us, the fact that the ticket said doors open at 4 was misleading as we were frustrated to then find out that the music wasn’t starting for another 2 and 3 quarter hours. I gather the idea was to get people drinking, but we don’t drink so very frustrating. We did try to phone the castle in the day to find out but it was shut. Maybe doors open at 4, music starts at 6:45 written on the ticket would be better. Maybe there would be less people falling over and passed out on the floor. Anyway, great music, great venue.
