The show I went to recently was completely amazing as always.
I fell in love with this band since I first saw them with Charly Bliss, and Rozwell Kid (both are also amazing!) at the Vera Project in Seattle, i think 3 years ago.
I've tried to make it to every show since then missing only 1, and every time they make it worth being alive. I get energized and feel happy. And... I ended up losing my voice one time so...all around great shows haha. Also I love that, whenever they're touring with any other bands, they give them shout outs and tell everyone to buy their merch too and that they admire them as well. I've never heard a band do that before and it made me respect them on a new level.
I'll never forget the first show I went to, meeting them before and after was something I'll never forget! It was chill being with them, and they were really friendly despite being tired, I appreciated their time but also felt bad for bothering them haha. I hope the relatable lyrics and banging riffs keep coming year after year! I'll be at the next show as soon as they come back to the PNW.
Seeing PUP was a great experience I wish had lasted longer. It was clear that most of the crowd was there to see Frank Turner, made mostly of older English folk standing around with their Czech beers. However a dozen or so young people (me included) knew PUP or were there for them specifically, which they seemed surprised by. They were full of energy, and sounded honestly great on stage. There was even moshing in the front, which seemed to irk the rest of the crowd. I joined for a bit but it was pretty intense, especially during Resevior. Stefan went to the barricade and held the mic up for us to sing into, which was really special. I think they were happy that there were people that actually knew their songs and vibed with them. I wish they had been able to play a few more songs but knew they were pretty limited as the opening band. Really glad I went, hope to see them again soon and they have a good rest of the tour.
I love PUP and know them from their released music. The two opening bands were great (Beach Bunny, Ratboys) and the sound was great. PUP was, unfortunately, so loud that it was like trying to listen to music standing next to jet. Most of the sounds were a mush, the vocals unintelligible. We went to the back of the venue, it was no better. We carry earplugs, and after putting them in, it was no better (less loud, still mush). After 3 PUP songs, we left. Louder is not always better.
I saw them in cologne at Luxor and it was one of the best shows i ever went to! They play their songs just as energetic as they do on the album and they even have a consistent fanbase who screamed along to all their lyrics here in germany haha
Just as awesome as i expected it to be !
(their opener Sløtface was also really nice and started a moshpit during their first song so you now their energy was good)
Great Band on record and live, PUP is one of the best bands out there, they just keep getting better with each record and each tour as well.
I saw them about three years ago opening for Thursday a Festival and was impressed by them back them, but now I'm just blown away by them. From the great setlist to intense crowd, one of the best bands to see live.
PUP FUCKING ROCKED THE SHIT OUT OF SWX LAST NIGHT - Had a great time - bar staff were crap did had no idea how to pour a pint or even pour a can into a plastic cup. Sound wasn’t great. But.........PUP man they were so good and the crowd man it was a great vibe - ended up rocking out to DVP with 5 people I had never met - DON VALLEY PARKWAY!!!!!
The energy they put into their shows is simply amazing. They shout their lungs out, song after song, without holding back for a single second. Expect something short (1 hour or so, more than that they would probably pass out :D), fast and wild, with people crowd surfing above your head most of the time. Go see them, you won't regret it.
This was my first punk concert and it was the best time of my life. The crowd was absolutely wild and respectful the whole time, helping people up and helping people find lost items. The band was incredible as well, there was so much energy and everything sounded great. I'm looking forward to seeing pup again as soon as possible.
Stagediving to DVP is the most amazing and unsafe thing I ever did at a gig. I ended up held two feet off the ground sitting upright with a 6 foot guy sitting on my shoulders festival style. I left dripping with beer and sweat after 14 of the most energetic songs I have ever heard performed. 10/10 would PUP again.
Seen them twice. They are literally incredible. I got to see them at Warped Tour with like 20 people that knew their music, and they still kicked ass. It was so surreal seeing them perform so many great songs at such a high quality at what felt like a private showing for me and my friends
