Short background story

Rwanda established bilateral relations with Liechtenstein a decade ago. Both Countries are interested in fostering cooperation in the tourism promotion, investment and financial sector as well as in multilateral fora.

On December 10, 2020, Mrs. Marie Chantal RWAKAZINA, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Rwanda to Switzerland and Permanent Representative to UNOG, to the World Trade Organization and other International Organizations in Geneva was accredited to Liechtenstein as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Rwanda to the Principality of Liechtenstein with residence in Geneva, Switzerland, following the presentation her Letters of Credence to Hereditary Prince Alois  ( see the photo on left). Before Liechtenstein was covered by Rwandan Embassy in Berlin, Germany

During the  Presentation of her letters of Credence, Ambassador RWAKAZINA held discussion with the Officials of the Principality of Liechtenstein  focused on aspects aimed at further strengthening existing bilateral relations, including a visit to Rwanda by Liechtenstein officials, diversification of partnerships in finances and engagement in multilateralism.
