Jane E I've been a fan of this show, NOT due to it's 'spy' story lines, but because of the humor and the human stories within it. Season 4 has been a letdown; very little humor, much darker, and not enough to set it apart from any other spy show. Too many dark killers; not enough of the slow horses themselves. The characters would play out well over a longer series or more frequent series. 6 episodes goes rather quickly. Theres some side stories going on with characters that could be explored a little more over subsequent series to build more depth into them. The Slough House crew were more incompetent than normal and seemed completely superfluous for almost the entirety of the season. Showcases River Cartwright with a Hard to follow, impossible to accept, almost incoherent storyline, and banal dialogue. The rest of slough house have very weak supporting duties.
