Every person using Qt needs to comply with either Open Source License (GPL and LGPL) or Qt Commercial License. The main difference between the two lies in how the software can be used, modified, and distributed.
As per Open-Source terms and condition, Qt Community Edition allows users to copy, modify, and distribute the software without restriction, as long as they fully comply with all open-source terms and conditions.
Qt Commercial License users are not required to comply with Open-Source terms and conditions. For example, Commercial License users have full freedom to manage their own intellectual property (IP).
Commercial Licenses give access to a series of extra benefits that substantially help customers in their journey.
