Horizon Weapon Compatibility Patch Hub for version 1.9.3 & 1.9.4

  • These are Horizon 1.9 weapon patches, not weapon mods; the original weapon mod will likely be required to download for each specific patch to work correctly (unless specified otherwise).
  • Do not submit bugs that may likely be due to the actual weapon mod, but rather submit bugs that are related to issues with the patch.
-Each of these will likely be replacer patches, so place the patches after the weapon mods in the priority menu (assuming you are using the menu to the left of MO2), then place the .esp to load after Horizon .esp files in the plugin section.
-Understand that some mod authors could make drastic updates to their weapon mods. As a result, I cannot predict the compatibility of a weapon patch with future version updates to the weapon mod.
  • Within the spoiler tag of each weapon are small steps on how and what to download in terms of the weapon mods you care about.

General Notable Changes to each Weapon:

-Converts the specific weapon to Horizon 1.9's weapon system.
  • Unless the weapon is extremely unique, the goal is to balance its stats around an already existing weapon within Horizon, so that the weapon doesn't feel too unbalanced
-Attempts to balance weapons relative to historical performance
  • I am not an expert, and there are limitations as to how accurately I might be able to make a weapon, but I try to make these patches relative to the historical performance of the said weapon, if applicable.
-Integration into ZX-1 Experimentation and Horizon LL
  • Similar to what was stated above, the amount of integration into ZX-1 and LL depends on how unique a weapon is. Details might be present within the specific description of the weapon
-Integration into Trading Market Terminal with altering Trading cycles
  • Albeit maybe not at an affordable price to some, most of these weapons will be able to be purchased under a new weapons trader in the horizon trading market terminal named “Mason”. For balance and added variety, weapons may be a bit steep in price and also not sold at all times. Mid-Late game weapons might appear less frequently than early-game weapons. Weapons not sold by Mason will likely be under either their faction-based trader, the Weapons craft section, or just not included in the market for other reasons.
-Removes unnecessary prior framework requirements for weapons
  • For example, if the original version of the weapon mod requires something like an ammunition framework, my patch will remove it and use Horizon's ammo system instead
-(After v2.0) Non-invasive Commonwealth vendor integration using Robco Patcher (this is a soft requirement, meaning the weapon patches will still work if you don't download it
  • With Robco, nearly all of these weapons can now be found on even more Horizon-exclusive spawns and also bought from actual vendors in the Commonwealth (as seen below), not just the market trading terminal Trader Mason. All you need to do is download the Main File on the Robco Page and that's it.
  • The weapon vendor spawn rate depends on how 'good' the weapon might be compared to Horizon Counterparts; the vendor price is also dependent on how 'good' the weapon might/could be.
  • Example of weapons spawning on Arturo:

Optional and Experimental Patches
Patches marked with these specific tags are experimentaland not required to download, (only read this if you do plan on experimenting/are interested in the Tactical Reload framework, otherwise ignore this section and things with the
Optional tag):

Tactical Reload (v1.32) and Horizon Compatibility Patches:
--I have messed around a tiny bit with the new alpha release of Tactical Reload (v1.32) and it seems relatively stable (as far as I know).
However, downloading almost anything Tactical Reload-related, excluding the TacticalReload.esm, needs a compatibility patch to work with Horizon

  • For that reason, some of the Horizon patches I make might have an optional Tactical Reload Horizon Compatibility patch. These are experimental and to use at your own discretion since I don't have enough data yet about how stable it is in a playthrough.
  • Some of these Horizon Tactical Reload patches require you to download the original tactical reload patch from the respective author (and obviously, the Horizon Patch to that here) while some might not, so please read the appropriate descriptions and instructions.
-The FOMOD will also not allow you to install the Tactical Reload patches unless you have the TacticalReload.esm present in your load order, to avoid confusion for those who are not interested in Tactical Reload.
  • Once again, this is optional, but if you decide to try the experimental patches, use this version of Tactical Reload: Alpha Tactical Reload Framework
  • Again: (Requires TacticalReload.esm to be Present in Load Order for FOMOD to enable the option to download)
  • Only use these patches with their respective version requirements.

Wattz Laser Gun & Wattz Laser Gun - Unofficial Update:

-Install the main mod file v1.3.1, then install both the Wattz Laser Gun - Unofficial Update (Main) and (Non-Munitions) v2.2.2 (Required).

  • Disclaimer: This will HARD require the Wattz Laser Gun - Unofficial Update so please make sure to download it
  • All the Wattz Variants within use a Custom Ammo Set (Fusion Cell, Fusion Cell MX, Heavy Cell, Heavy Cell [Laser Firing modes]), which is the same as the Laser/Institute Laser Ammo Set but modifies the rate of fire differently.
  • I have added a twist to some of the Variants of the Wattz; Specific variants are exclusive to certain NPCs/Factions, (SPOILERS) such as the WTZ-io6 which should be found on Gen 1 and Gen 2 synths, while the Institute Wattz might only be found on Coursers. Both variants behave slightly differently compared to the other Wattz weapons.
  • Quite a bit of other changes were made by either the Unofficial Update or me, so feel free to experience it yourself.
There is a very small and rare bug that happens (due to the way I made the custom ammo set) that makes it possible to obtain a fire rate of 0 (Very unlikely: happens when the weapon is Deteriorated, has a sniper barrel, and uses another ammo besides fusion cell). Most people will never notice this bug, so it is pointless to worry about it.
The Zap Gun:

-Install the main mod file v1.4, then install 'Hotfix for Zap Gun Patch' which you find in the updates category on my page (Required).
  • The name was kept as Zap
  • Uses a Custom Ammo Set (Fusion Cell, Fusion Cell MX, Heavy Cell, and Heavy Cell MX [Laser Firing modes]), which is the same as the Laser and Institute Laser Ammo Set but modifies rate of fire differently

Final Notes:
-Check Changelog for any relevant changes to the patch.
-If you like the patch and the modifications I've made, please leave feedback if you are up to it.
-Endorsements and constructive comments are generally appreciated. They aren't necessary but help in terms of feedback. Thanks.
-If for whatever reason the Weapon Kit isn't working with these patched weapons, typing the following in the console "setstage CustomAmmoSet_O_OM3Nv2 0" might fix the issue.
