A man's way of "saving" a woman from unwanted male attention on a night out in Baltimore has gone viral on TikTok, earning applause from users online for his chivalrous act.
The lighthearted clip was shared to TikTok by @jackiecazacu on June 16, and has amassed more than 15.5 million views and 1.7 million likes to date. The video captures a young woman with blonde hair, a friend of the TikToker, standing outside a bar or social event surrounded by two young men engaging in conversation with her.
Seemingly uncomfortable or bored and keen to rejoin her friends, the woman becomes the focus of a third man who walks up to the group with determination. In an unexpected yet decisive move, he picks the woman up, places her over his shoulder, and walks away from the other two men, effectively extracting her from the unwanted exchange.
The woman's friends watched from a close distance as she was transported from the exterior of the venue to its entrance, where she was "dropped off" next to them by the man.
The video's text overlay reads: "When you send a guy y'all just met at a bar over to save your BFF [best friend forever] from some boys that won't leave her alone."
"Thank you king for saving our friend," @jackiecazacu wrote in the video's caption. She later added in the comments section: "The type of energy we need."
Newsweek has reached out to @jackiecazacu for more information via email and TikTok.
