A small sound pack that replaces the sound effects to match the atmosphere of original Resident Evil 1 (NPCs, weapons, inventory and physics).
Here is a small sound pack that I made for personal use on my first playthrough of this mod, because I didn't like the use of certain sound effects from Left 4 Dead.
If I setup everything correctly, the .nut script included in the addon should override the sound effects each time the main campaign is loaded (tested "New Game" and loading from the saves). I haven't tested on challenge maps, because I intended this to be used only in the main campaign of the mod. But you can just copy-paste and rename the "*_level_sounds.txt" file inside "maps" folder to match the file name of the map you want to play.
Side note:
The sound precache vscript code that I borrowed from Entropy Zero 2 is by 1upD. (original EZ2 code can be found in "dynamic_music.nut").
Installation: Unzip the "re1sfx" folder to the directory where base mod itself is installed (../lost_and_damned/custom/). Should be simple enough.
