This final version was created to try and remove the last few game breaking bugs so that any future players can enjoy this without issues.
I am only working on bug fixes and major issues, the mod content has not changed.Please look at the readme file contained in the download, and check the changelog in the description above to see what has been corrected.

25 november 2023, runs prefectly fine on latest aniversary patch. Just finished the game in one long session. I AM AMAZED! Now all my questions about the surface struggle answered with so many new and good plots and twists. Well done sir.

hello. might I ask if you are going to update this mod, to bring it up to the status of 2023?
like either scaling the HUD to the standard of the new 25th anniversary version, or allowing to toggle the HL1 HUD for this.
or implementing the 2019 change of the NPC turn-rate no longer being bound to the frame rate (so I can unlock the FPS and play this at more than 72)
or add controller support (most HL1 mods work with controller, but for some reason in echoes, I am unable to move)

You should update the credits to have them link to different sites. hl-improvement.com is now a gambling site, the link to the HIT Model Depot lead to a 404 page and the Gamebanana link to the Gus model is dead.
It has been 2 years wince I've played this mod. I would play that again.
Oh my, an update! Nice. Time to replay the mod again.
I reached the garage part of the game where the doors closed and you fight a wave of XEN Enemies. There is a bug, specifically the AI. When the Voritgaunts spawn, they don't react unless I touch them or I shoot at them with my gun. I will try to find more bugs in the game but that's the first one I came across.
Thank you - this is an annoying one. This appears to be an issue with the monstermaker entity in Spirit of Half-Life which is used for the mod. I honestly have no idea how to resolve this one, I recreated all the monstermaker entities and map setup multiple times and always had the same issue. Other maps don't seem to have this same issue.... At the very least it does not impede progress.
Maybe instead of using monstermakes you could have vortingaunts move instant with scripted sequence, if that doesn't work then a trigger hurt for monsters only that triggers only once dealing 1hp damage to get them out of the state?
I couldn't even get it to open. Is that an existing problem to which a solution has already been found? Did I make a mistake somewhere?
Make sure you have looked at the readme and have put the echoes folder and DLL files in the right place. What error do you get , and where does it fail to open?

I crashed when loading from map echoes22 to echoes23."No Free edicts".
Just After the part where you have a Free for all fight with Alient Grunt & Marines. I fixed the edicts value to 2048 in my game but it doesn't work.Have to load next map manually by consoles. All my weapon were lost , got to cheat my way through.

I mean, I'd definitely like to play it but as you should know: Some players don't have Half-Life, and getting 5.49 USD isn't easy in my country. So you should like make a capability for the Non-steam versions or whatever. The mod is just amazing.

Pros:
HD fits the aesthetic of the textures
Well designed
Looks like aliens are invading instead of a empty grey corridor with 1 dead corpse and afew enemies
Cons:
Forced Hd models
Designs that don't make much sense (Example:A wall of gore, missing cars and dead bodies when you come back to the parking lot before the HEV security gaurd dies, and in that one section of the mod where you come back to the start of the game it confuses me when I see two dead people from before the disaster happened, it makes me think these guys have done nothing but stood there until they got attacked by an alien)

Regarding the parking lot, I imagined that the military cleared the area as a staging ground to enter the facility, and then to ambush the HEV guard thinking it was Freeman (removing his potential cover).
Also, I thought it would be funny that the dead people you mentioned had just stayed there the entire time, chatting away oblivious until they died, haha.

if you guys have missing client.dll file, i suggest putting the other dll files in the zip in the half life folder, also helps with no cutscenes

Limit your FPS (fps_max) by 60 (the best working) / 72 / 100, should fix any problem.
Hello, it's my first playthrough and I have a report to make. The first bridge with the non-responding door has a possible sequence break - if you don't finish rotating the valve at once without interrupting at any point (a bit difficult given that you get assaulted by a bunch of crabbies), it becomes non-functional, so even if you rotate it all the way again it won't trigger the following sequence and will rotate itself back. Thankfully there's an autosave right before it, but it was a real headscratcher for a hot minute.
Also had a game crash when I tried to capture a screenshot during the first cutsene with G-Man, but that was probably just random.
Jeez, this mod is INSANE! Also, nice easter egg with the toys in the baby's crib, chumtoad and the yellow box mover
Good afternoon, the mod was amazing, only this is my first game and halfway through when I was in the fight when we grabbed the turret and killed the ecu soldiers and then the xen soldiers when we went to the next area when it loaded it stopped. the game exits and i get this error :end along no free edits
