DemoAfter a bit of trying to get this map to work, here is the first map to utilize this concept.
4portal is a mod which i had the idea for all the way back when i first played portal. I had neither the time, nor motivation to make the maps and solve the problems which i knew would be associated with it. With the release of portal 2 and it's resources, I have been motivated to start work on the mod.The basis of this mod/mappack is somewhat self explanatory. You can fire two sets of linked portals rather than one, using a stationary button to toggle between the two. This pack will include completely new test chambers as well as recreations of the old ones so they must be solved using both sets of portals.Bear in mind that this is more of an experiment than an official mod, and i'm the only one working on it.Gameplay notes:-I know sv_cheats is enabled upon starting the map, this is because the new gameplay feature of 4 portals requires sv_cheats to be on.-I know the check/x signs don't work, I have no idea why they don't work and am trying to fix the issue.

Odd. And just to let you guys know; I did not run out of ideas or motivation; I ran out of leniency.
After re-installing Source SDK, and Portal 2, I couldn't get PAINT to visually appear. I may, however, update this pack in the future.
had this idea.. have TONS of chambers in my google sketchup if u need em.
haha... I didn't know how to change portals, so I just beat the map using 2 portals2 :) but you did an alright job... keep it up!
I love the demo! Keep going, and I will be one of the first to download this completed mod! One tip though, the chambers are WAYYYYY to bright. In the second one, I could barley see while catapulted into the air, and the walls make me squint. It can't just be my eyes, because I have no problems with them. Keep up the good work!
You can do this with console commands and binding them to things.
I once had an idea of a Portal Gun with 3 sets of Portals: Blue and Orange, Purple and Yellow, and Green and Red, and built-in the Gravity Gun component as strong as the Gravity Gun in Half-Life 2, and worked in a similiar way. Pick stuff up with "E", Drop it with by right-clicking or launch it by left-clicking.
Actually, i planned on adding a few testchambers which utilized 3 sets of portals instead of 2. I found, after some experimentation ingame, that portal 2 supports only 2 sets of portals. When more than two sets of portals are placed, the visuals glitch out and you start seeing through walls and everything generally goes haywire.
Yet, in Portal 1 the bug is not present.
It's all down to the new method of rendering Portals in P2. Portal 1 used a rendertarget camera, and Portal 2 kinda acts like an Areaportal. Kinda.
Yeah, but more than ONE set of portals is buggy as laggy as **** in portal 1.
