What can you do when you wake up in a strange place with your memories wiped out and your hours numbered?

And when you realize this place is a lethal environment, with an impossible geometry created by the processing power of a first-generation PC, which gets even weirder when the floppy drives begin to fail?

What about those people that seem amused by the fact you"re dying by the minute?

And what"s with that creature with a taste for human flesh?

Does any of this make any sense? Does that even matter when your time is running out?

Authentic phosphor green gets mixed with not-quite-authentic blood red for results never dreamed of by the monitors of 1981;

Released in time for Halloween as part of a collaborative project, Out Of Memories is a minimalist spooky ride through impossible geometry, deadly traps and caustic commentary from the observers of your desperate attempt to stay alive for just a little longer.

Chopped heads include but are not limited to yours own

Made exclusively with the Codepage 437 characters available on the original PC from 1981, the game is divided in 6 chapters of weirdness presented in green with a hint of red. Audio consists of the usual beeps and boops mixed with realistic sound effects, providing an unsettling - and somewhat bizarre - atmosphere.

Yes, some liberties were taken with hardware limitations

The game was designed to be a short but fulfilling experience, taking about 1 hour on a first playthrough. However, here"s the catch: since your remaining life time is numbered (literally: it"s the number at the top right), falling victim to any of the traps takes away an extra 5 unities of it, and getting to zero means an instant death, sometimes it might be necessary to return to a previous chapter and complete it with more life remaining.
