Could you all stop wasting time on your discord and start getting your Moddb pages up to Date? I tryed now several mods and everytime i find mentionings of new versions being upload somewhere else. Its getting frustrating.
Most of our ModDB pages 'are' up to date, the only ones that aren't are Operation Firestorm and Condition Zero because they are still in alpha testing and their devs believe they are not ready for a ModDB release yet.
Sorry if it seems like a "waste of time" to you, but this is the system that we found works best for us, and most of our fans are ok with it, so it's not gonna change any time soon. Sorry for the inconvenience.
is NLS died??
No
I'm so happy for that :) Keep go
This game is pretty old now and I've had 2 legitimate copies (original CD and EA download) and I can say for certain the R.G. Mechanics versions just works/installs so much better since GOG doesn't have this game. Is there any chance ya'll will start releasing standalone mods complete with required gamefiles that run and play as is? since the death of modtoaster.. crosus? whatever i've been doing manual mod swapping which is tedious and the game refuses to work if missing original generals or detects any directory modifications i.e. rename, move. I frankly curse myself for still have interest in this game, but the campaign and units are so delightfully cheesy
You can actually play multiple ZH mods at the same time, by just copying your ZH folder: Docs.google.com
If it's not working for you, perhaps the version of ZH that you got.
perhaps, but I'm not buying another copy unless it's from GOG and the non bought option downloads all seem to bank on a registry entry the game associates with a specific directory and said above issue is present for. however. the worldwarII mod runs directplay without a hitch. from what i think I saw (i probably lost track of whose mode had what init) some of NLS mods came with their own generls.exe, game.dat, other core files, but lacked whatever tweaking WWII's had. they gave me a "can't update or restart required" prompt that forced a reboot even when taskmgr'n the process to close. to avoid the comment in the future I have noticed most NLS mods run via batch and deactivated big files some with name propriatary subfolders featuring zero conflict which is of course grand.
None of our mods use their own generals.exe/game.dat, and only one (OFS) ever used a batch files, and only for one version iirc.
As for your suggestion, we will not include the game files in our mods, because it'll make the download file size unecessarily big, and it will most likely come with a ton of compatibility issues. It also borders on illegal activity, cause we'd be distributing working copies of the game for free.
Lol pinoy ba this xD nice
