World 3-4 is the fifth overall and fourth normal level of Water Land in the game Super Mario Bros. 3. It can be played after the first World 3-Fortress is completed. It does not need to be completed in order to unlock more levels.
Layout[edit]
This level starts out near a slope with two Goombas. After the slope, there is a Warp Pipe with a Piranha Plant. Past this Warp Pipe is a body of water. After that, there is a Warp Pipe with a Venus Fire Trap in it. Next to this pipe is a ? Block with a Super Mushroom or a Super Leaf in it. This ? Block is right in front of a cliff that Mario can jump up to. Up here, there is another set of Goombas. If Mario slides down the slope and jumps at the bottom of it, he can jump across the pond at the end. If not, there are two Hidden Blocks that he can jump onto to reach the area above the pond. There is a Cheep-Cheep in this body of water. After that, Mario reaches a slope with three Green Koopa Troopas. After the slope, there is a area with six ? Blocks, two Wood Block and two Brick Blocks. A Para-Goomba that shoots out Micro-Goombas and a red Para-Goomba are found here. One of the ? Blocks has either a Super Mushroom or a Fire Flower in it. One of the Brick Blocks has a Switch Block in it that reveals coins. Above the two Brick Blocks is an upside-down Warp Pipe that has a Venus Fire Trap in it. Past this area is another slope that leads to six Brick Blocks. One of them has a 1-Up Mushroom in it. After the area, a Lakitu that throws green Spiny Eggs appears. Next is a stretch of land with four gaps. The first gap is long and requires more of a running start than the others. After the gaps, two ? Blocks can be found, one of which has either a Super Mushroom or a Super Leaf in it. After the ? Blocks is a slope which leads to the level's goal.
