World 17 is an amusement park world in Dr. Mario World, but unlike World 7, it takes place at night. The first area is available as of 3 AM PT on Jun. 26, 2020[1], while the second area, challenge stages and special stage are available as of 11 PM PT on Jul. 12, 2020[2].

When an area is cleared, Toads, Koopa Troopas and Yellow Shy Guys appear. The viruses featured in the regular stages are red, blue and yellow.

Starting with 35 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (17).

This stage introduces pop cannons (prior to March 18, 2021 when it was added to previous stages), which will shoot projectiles above and below it when activated. In this stage, each odd-numbered column has Brick Blocks in between a pop cannon and a floatie virus, while the even-numbered columns contain crates. The Brick Blocks contain hidden barriers in the third and sixth rows. Hidden viruses are found in the Brick Blocks in the whole second row and the fourth, fifth and seventh rows in the leftmost and rightmost columns, as well as the middle Brick Block in the fourth row.

Starting with 36 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (20) and collect all coins from Coin Blocks (18).

In this stage, there are three pop cannons in the middle three columns positioned below two columns with barriers and one column with Brick Blocks (all containing coins), along with floatie viruses. The other columns above the row of pop cannons contain colorful crates arranged in checkered patterns and viruses in the first three rows.

Starting with 34 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (37), collect all purple coins (24), and collect all keys (7).

In this stage, the doors are arranged in a diagonal line that block off a portion of viruses and coins, with some of the viruses inside partially-damaged barrels. On the outside of the line below the doors, in addition to viruses and coins, there are exploders and keys. The rightmost two columns contain normal viruses.

Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:

  1. The coin below the door in the second column and the three coins below the door in the fourth column, for a total of 4 coins.
  2. The four coins below the door in the middle column and the six coins in the seventh column, for a total of 10 coins.
  3. The 1 coin below the door in the leftmost column.
  4. The coin directly above each of the doors in the first five columns, for a total of 5 coins.
  5. The coin three rows above each of the doors in the first three columns, for a total of 3 coins.
  6. The 1 coin in the top-left corner.

Starting with 41 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (12) and collect all coins from Coin Blocks (24).

In this stage, the odd-numbered rows from first row to seventh rows contain Brick Blocks (all containing coins) in the leftmost and rightmost position, viruses in the middle column between floatie viruses and crates between the Brick Blocks and floatie viruses. In the rows between the odd-numbered rows are half-frozen shells and half-frozen pop cannons between the Brick Blocks, colorful crates between the viruses and barriers between the crates in the third and seventh columns.

Starting with 35 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (34), collect all coins from Coin Blocks (36), and break all colorful crates (11).

In this stage, there are four rings of cages containing viruses and two columns of three cages containing Brick Blocks containing coins beside two of the groups, with the lock blocks in the fifth row. Between the lock blocks are Brick Blocks all containing coins. Occupying the other spaces are crates, colorful crates and a couple of viruses, as well as a pop cannon in the top-right corner.

Starting with 38 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (12) and break all colorful crates (36).

In this stage, the middle three columns contain three groups where a shell and an exploder are between two rows of Empty Blocks. Each row with a shell and exploder has crates and Brick Blocks on the left and right of them, with the Brick Blocks containing hidden viruses in the first column and floatie viruses in the others. Colorful crates are between the Brick Blocks and crates.

Starting with 35 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (16) and collect all purple coins (28).

In this stage, the group of viruses in the middle surround and are surrounded by purple coins, and on the corners of this group are pop cannons. Some of the viruses are half-frozen, while the coins in the border are frozen. On the leftmost and rightmost columns between the Empty Blocks are pop cannons that are between purple coins. The filled flasks in this stage will shoot out Brick Blocks.

Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:

  1. The half-frozen coins in the third and seventh columns between the pop cannons, for a total of 4 coins.
  2. The coins between the leftmost and rightmost pop cannons, for a total of 8 coins.
  3. The 2 coins in the middle column surrounded by viruses.
  4. The rest of the coins that are initially fully-frozen, for a total of 14 coins.

Starting with 40 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (25) and collect all virus coins (12).

In this stage, there are two groups of cages in the shape of triangles, each containing viruses, floatie viruses, barriers and a lock block. In between the two groups, the red shells and pop cannons leads to a red lock block, the yellow caged shells and pop cannons leads to the blue lock block and the exploders in the blue cages are diagonally adjacent to each other.

Starting with 35 capsules, the objective of this stage is to break all crates (40) and collect all virus coins (12).

In this stage, the crates form a box with an "X" in a middle, which is formed by exploders. Surrounding the crates are pop cannons and half-frozen viruses, where one of the pop cannons is half-frozen.

Starting with 32 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (14) and collect all keys (9).

In this stage, crates are arranged in a checkered pattern, with viruses, pop cannons, shells, exploders and barrels in between them. The barrels contain exploders and pop cannons. The doors are in the last two rows revealed, with seven of them in the last row and two of them in the second-last row directly below the pop cannons in the last row.

This stage will scroll for one line each time enough objects are cleared or enough capsules are added to the stage and will stop after 3 lines are introduced.

Starting with 36 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (40) and collect all purple coins (21).

In this stage, there are half-frozen and normal viruses among the purple coins, along with pop cannons (most of them half-frozen) and a shell in the second row. In the middle is an exploder surrounded by caged coins.

Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:

  1. The 4 coins in row #7.
  2. The 3 coins in row #6.
  3. The 6 coins in rows #3 to #5 in the columns #2 and #8.
  4. The 8 coins surrounding the exploder in the middle.

In this stage, there are barrels containing bubble machines in the leftmost, center and rightmost columns. Between the left and center barrels are colorful crates with viruses directly adjacent to them, and between the center and right barrels are crates with viruses directly adjacent to them.

Starting with 30 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (48) and collect all keys (5).

In this stage, there are sixteen groups where each consists of three viruses (most are frozen) and an exploder arranged in two-by-twos. The groups are arranged so that each couple of rows have four groups each, with barrels containing purple coins filling the gaps. The keys and doors are in the even-numbered columns.

Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:

  1. The 2 coins inside barrels in column #1.
  2. The 2 coins inside barrels in column #3.
  3. The 2 coins inside barrels in column #5.
  4. The 2 coins inside barrels in column #7.

In this stage, colorful crates are arranged in a checkered pattern intersected with viruses arranged in a checkered pattern, forming a circle. Many of the colorful crates are caged. In the middle is a fully-frozen lock block with four exploders diagonally adjacent to it.

Starting with 42 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (31) and collect all coins from Coin Blocks (39).

In this stage, there are two groups of dust viruses, and between them are viruses and floatie viruses. The two groups are separated by a group of crates. Above the higher group of viruses and below the lower group of viruses are Brick Blocks (all containing coins). Below the lower row of Brick Blocks are Empty Blocks with floatie viruses in between. The filled flasks in this stage will shoot out crates.

Starting with 35 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (56) and collect all coins from Coin Blocks (24).

In this stage, there is a square of fully-frozen viruses interspersed with barrels containing Brick Blocks (all containing coins) that do not intersect with one another. Pop cannons are located in the ninth row with a gap in the middle, while shells are located in the rightmost column above a pop cannon.

Starting with 25 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (22) and collect all virus coins (15).

In this stage, Brick Blocks are found in the first, fifth, seventh and ninth rows, along with the even-numbered columns between the first and fifth rows which contain hidden floatie viruses. Floatie viruses are located in the sixth and eighth rows. More hidden floatie viruses are located in the even-numbered Brick Blocks in the seventh row. The filled flask in this stage will shoot out Capsule Plus.

Starting with 30 capsules, the objective of this stage is to collect all virus coins (18).

In this stage, crates are arranged in a checkered pattern with an opening in the top-middle portion of the stage. Between the crates are bubbles that contain viruses and colorful crates, with additional viruses where there are openings. In the topmost row are two Capsule Plus that are designed to demonstrate that breaking crates cause bubbles to float up and reveal virus coins behind the colorful crates.

Starting with 38 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (20), break all barriers (20), and break all colorful crates (16).

In this stage, The odd-numbered columns have pop cannons, Brick Blocks and barrels while the even-numbered columns have half-frozen colorful crates. The Brick Blocks in the ninth row contain pop cannons while the other Brick Blocks contain floatie viruses. The barrels contain barriers.

The last stage of the first area and starting with 40 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (37), collect all purple coins (15), and collect all keys (9).

In this stage, there are a lot of barrels, with keys, purple coins, exploders and shells below them. The doors for the middle five keys are in the fifth revealed row, while the doors for the two leftmost and two rightmost keys are hidden inside barrels three rows above three of them and two rows above the one in the second from right. The other barrels contain shells, exploders, pop cannons and viruses, along with floatie viruses in three of the barrel as the stage scrolls. Yellow cages containing shells, pop cannons and viruses are found throughout the stage, with its corresponding lock block being in the fifth revealed row, where it is fully-frozen.

Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:

  1. The 1 coin in the barrel in row #8 (before the stage scrolls).
  2. The 2 coins in row #7 (before the stage scrolls) from left to right, one coin at a time.
  3. The 2 coins in row #6 (before the stage scrolls) from left to right, one coin at a time.
  4. The 2 coins in row #5 (before the stage scrolls) from left to right, one coin at a time.
  5. The 2 coin in row #3 (before the stage scrolls) and the coin revealed in the fourth revealed row, for a total of 3 coins.
  6. The 1 coin in row #2 (before the stage scrolls).
  7. The 1 coin in row #1 (before the stage scrolls).
  8. The coin in the first revealed row.
  9. The coin in the second revealed row.
  10. The coin in the third revealed row.

This stage will scroll for one line each time enough objects are cleared or enough capsules are added to the stage and will stop after 6 lines are introduced.

When cleared, the rest of the first area in the world map gets cleared of viruses. Players also obtain the Yellow Shy Guy assistant upon completing this stage.

The Brick Blocks in the first, second, sixth and seventh rows, along with the last two blocks in each of the third and fourth rows are Coin Blocks. The other Brick Blocks contain hidden Capsule Plus.

The other doors are three rows above their keys, with the ones in the even-numbered rows inside barrels. Purple coins are found in the odd-numbered rows as well as the even-numbered rows between doors in the topmost row. Between the coins in the second, third and fifth rows are viruses and floatie viruses, where the first two of those rows are fully-frozen.

Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:

  1. The coins in rows #1 and #6, for a total of 6 coins.
  2. The second and fourth coin in row #5.
  3. The first, middle and last coins in row #5.
  4. The 5 coins in row #2.
  5. The 5 coins in row #3.

Starting with 35 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (29) and collect all purple coins (38).

In this stage, the corners of the square contain shells and pop cannons, where the blue and yellow ones are caged. The blue and yellow lock blocks are located in the middle of the ninth row and the middle of the eighth row respectively. The barrels form a border around the dust clouds, which contain two coins in the bottom line, caged coins in the corners and viruses in the others. The dust clouds cover both viruses and purple coins (caged and uncaged).

Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:

  1. The 2 coins in row #9, both inside barrels.
  2. The 3 coins within rows #6 and #7, columns #6 and #7.
  3. The 3 coins within rows #3 and #4, columns #6 and #7.
  4. The 3 coins within rows #3 and #4, columns #3 and #4.
  5. The 3 coins within the #6 and #7, columns #3 and #4.
  6. The 1 coin in the middle of row #5.

The Brick Blocks in the leftmost column, the rightmost column and the first three rows contain coins, while the others contain hidden viruses. The filled flasks in this stage will shoot out exploders.

Above the doors is a path with Empty Blocks and crates as barricades that contain barriers, lock blocks and viruses (some caged). Crates are also found on the left of the row of doors and two rows of viruses.

Starting with 40 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (30) and collect all coins from Coin Blocks (39).

This stage is shaped like a Goomba, where its eyes and stem are formed with yellow viruses while its head and feet are formed by Brick Blocks. The Brick Blocks in the first, sixth and eighth rows, along with the first and last Brick Blocks in the fifth row and the middle two Brick Blocks in the eighth row contain coins. The middle five Brick Blocks contain floatie viruses while the second and fourth Brick Blocks in the second row and the middle Brick Block in the third row contain viruses. Exploders are hidden in some of the Brick Blocks. The filled flasks in this stage will shoot out Brick Blocks.

In this stage, the viruses are grouped into a cross and are all fully-frozen. There are shells and pop cannons that are within the trajectory of each other, starting from the pop cannon in the ninth row. Virus coins are behind each purple coin and the middle of the stage.

Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:

  1. The 1 coin in the rightmost part of the eighth row.
  2. The 1 coin in the rightmost part of the second row.
  3. The 1 coin in the leftmost part of the second row.
  4. The 1 coin in the second-from-left part of the ninth row.

In this stage, the barriers from double arcs in the top half and the bottom half. Within the arcs are bubbles that contain Brick Blocks (all containing coins) and viruses, as well as caged viruses. Next to the barriers are bubbles containing exploders and lock blocks. Pop cannons are found in the leftmost and rightmost part of the fifth row.

In this stage, The middle three columns contain four rows of caged crates with an exploder in between each pair of groups, and a lock block between exploders in the first row. On the ninth row outside the middle three rows, there are pop cannons that are below froxen viruses. Keys and doors are each between one frozen viruses in the second, third, seventh, eighth and rightmost columns.

Starting with 38 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (45) and break all colorful crates (26).

In this stage, there are a group of viruses around three rows of colorful crates, with cages on the left, right and above it that contain viruses and colorful crates. Among this group, there is an exploder and a lock block. Above the cages are barrels that contain viruses, floatie viruses and normal viruses. A pop cannon is in the top-left corner that targets two other lock blocks.

Starting with 37 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (31) and collect all coins from Coin Blocks (27).

In this stage, there are four rows of dust clouds, and between them are crates with two pop cannons within each row. Between the crates and pop cannons are Brick Blocks, while between the Brick Blocks are colorful crates. Most of the dust clouds contain viruses, but five of them contain pop cannons: the first, middle and last dust clouds in the first row and the second and sixth dust clouds in the ninth row. Floatie viruses are hidden inside the first, middle and last dust clouds in the second row and the second, fourth and sixth dust clouds in the eighth row. The middle three Brick Blocks in the fourth row and the three leftmost and three rightmost Brick Blocks in the sixth row contain coins.

In this stage, each exploder is surrounded by purple coins, and surrouning the groups of purple coins except the ninth row are viruses, colorful crates, pop cannons and a shell. The viruses in the first two rows are fully-frozen.

Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:

  1. The 8 coins surrounding the top-left exploder.
  2. The 8 coins surrounding the top-right exploder.
  3. The 8 coins surrounding the bottom-left exploder.
  4. The 8 coins surrounding the bottom-right exploder.

In this stage, the keys and doors form a circle, while the viruses and floatie virsues form brackets on the left and right sides. Surrounding the viruses and circle of keys and doors are Brick Blocks, and in the middle is a half-frozen pop cannon. Of the Brick Blocks, doors are hidden in the topmost row and the third row, while keys are hidden directly below the revealed doors and the leftmost and rightmost Brick Blocks in the ninth row. The other Brick Blocks contain hidden floatie viruses.

In this stage, The six topmost rows contain crates (some caged) in the even-numbered columns and bubbles containing viruses and lock blocks and caged viruses in the odd-numbered columns. The seventh to ninth rows contain three groups of viruses in a diamond formation with crates in the corners.

In this stage, the corners of the square contain viruses in an "X" formation with colorful crates in between. In the middle of the square are ice fans, floatie viruses and an exploder. The top-middle and bottom-middle contain Empty Blocks, viruses and colorful crates while the middle-left and middle-right contain Empty Blocks and colorful crates.

Starting with 38 capsules, the objective of this stage is to break all barriers (13), collect all purple coins (13), and collect all keys (22).

In this stage, there are numerous keys and doors. Barriers are scattered across the five leftmost columns while purple coins (caged and uncaged) are scattered across the five rightmost columns. In the middle of the stage is a lock block that corresponds to some keys, doors and one barrier and one purple coin.

Purple coins are unlocked in the following sequence:

  1. The first coins in rows #7 and #9 as well as the coins in row #8, for a total of 4 coins.
  2. The coin in row #6 and the last coins in rows #7 and #9, for a total of 3 coins.
  3. The 1 coin in row #4.
  4. The latter 2 coins in row #2.
  5. The first coin in row #2.
  6. The 2 coins in row #5.

In the final stage of this world and starting with 39 capsules, the objective is to eliminate all viruses (71).

In this stage, the initial layout and the next five revealed rows contain three paired rows of barrels with a gap between, and each pair of barrels contain the same order of color of viruses. Between the pairs or rows are Brick Blocks. In the last five revealed rows, there are frozen Brick Blocks in a checkered pattern with viruses in between. The filled flasks in this stage will shoot out pop cannons.

This stage will scroll for one line each time enough objects are cleared or enough capsules are added to the stage and will stop after 10 lines are introduced.

Once it is cleared, the remaining area of the stage map gets cleared of viruses, and players can access World 18. Upon completion, players earn a free Staff Ticket.

Within a 54 second time limit, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (36). The colors available in this stage are blue, green, and pink.

In this stage, there are two sets of columns where a column of colorful crates are between two columns of viruses, where the left ones have colorful crates of the same color as the viruses on the same row and the right ones have colorful crates of the same color as the viruses on the row below. Both sets have no colorful crates next to the bottom-most row of viruses. Separating the sets of columns are crates.

Completing this stage awards the player 500 coins.

Within an 85 second time limit, the objective of this stage is to break all barriers (36) and break all crates (21). The colors available in this stage are blue, green, and pink.

In this stage, the odd-numbered columns have pop cannons at the bottom row, where the leftmost, middle and rightmost columns have crates and an additional pop cannon, while the other odd-numbered columns have colorful crates. On the even-numbered columns are barriers.

Completing this stage awards the player 500 coins.

Within a 75 second time limit, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (45), collect all coins from Coin Blocks (27), and break all crates (27). The only colors available in this stage are blue and pink.

In this stage, viruses are lined up in the odd-numbered columns, with the floatie viruses found in the two topmost rows. On the even-numbered columns, there are crates and Brick Blocks containing coins.

Completing this stage awards the player 1000 coins and a Staff Ticket.

Starting with 34 capsules, the objective of this stage is to eliminate all viruses (61) and collect all keys (13).

In this stage, many of the viruses are fully-frozen, as well as Brick Blocks and keys in the beginning and exploders and doors after the stages scrolls. Pop cannons are found initially on the second bottom-most row. The Brick Blocks after the stage scrolls contain hidden doors and keys. The filled flasks in this stage will shoot out Brick Blocks.

This stage will scroll for one line each time enough objects are cleared or enough capsules are added to the stage and will stop after 6 lines are introduced.

Completing this stage awards the player 1000 coins and Dr. Baby Peach.
