Swordfighter Peach is one of the many transformations of Princess Peach in Princess Peach: Showtime! In this form, Peach wields a rapier left-handed and wears a cavalier hat and uniform.

History[edit]

Princess Peach: Showtime![edit]

Swordfighter Peach's main theme

In Princess Peach: Showtime!, Swordfighter Peach is able to perform consecutive sword attacks on enemies and destroy objects blocking her path. The sword attack movements are rapid enough that one of the attack positions involve her spinning upside down. In the sidescroller sections only, Peach can also perform a high spin attack by pressing Left Stick (up) B Button while on the ground.

Peach has two ways to dodge if an incoming enemy charges at her first: She can slide along the floor to get behind the enemy, or she can jump if it is successfully timed, during which the jump will be shown in slow motion and Peach will automatically land nearby in a position to attack the enemy. The latter type of dodge is mandatory to beat the three levels' boss fights.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[edit]

Swordfighter Peach appears as an Advanced-class primary spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, introduced in the "Showtime and Wonder Spirits!" spirit event that began on the same day as Princess Peach: Showtime!'s release. Her puppet fighter is Lucina, who is a nimble swordfighter similar to Swordfighter Peach, and her spirit battle takes place in Hyrule Castle, referencing The Castle of Thorns, conditioned with a stamina battle, referencing Showtime!'s health system. Swordfighter Peach is also referenced in the Peach & Stella spirit battle, where she is represented by the Assist Trophy Lyn.

Super Mario Run[edit]

Swordfighter Peach also appears in Super Mario Run as a statue for Kingdom Builder, introduced in the Princess Peach: Showtime! event that began an hour after the start of the spirit event in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (though it was added to the notebook silhouetted alongside the other event items as part of the game's version 3.2.0 update released a week prior on March 15, 2024). It is unlocked after completing six Princess Peach missions.

Tetris 99[edit]

Swordfighter Peach also appears in Tetris 99 in the background of the Princess Peach: Showtime! theme.
